This is the last Will and Testament of me John Ives of Foots Cray in the County of Kent Perukemaker
First I will and direct that all and every my Just Debts Funeral expences and the charges of proving this my Will be fully paid and discharged by my Executor hereinafter named and subject thereto I give devise and bequeath as follows (that is to say)

Whereas I am possessed of the Sum of One hundred and twenty five pounds three per Centum Consolidated Annuities now standing in my name in the Books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England Now I give and bequeath one equal half part thereof unto my Nephew Samuel Tyre of Deptford in the County of Kent Shipwright and the remaining half part thereof I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter in Law Ann Dean the Daughter of John Dean of Chislehurst in the said County of Kent Carpenter but I direct that the shares of them the said Samuel Tyre and Ann Dean of and in the said Stock monies shall not be paid or transferred unto them until the determination of the present War

But if it shall happen that my Executor should stand in need of money to pay and discharge my Just Debts Funeral expences or the charges of proving this my Will then I declare that he is at liberty to sell out so much of my said Stock as will answer that purpose and in his discretion will be sufficient the remaining Sum to be divided as aforesaid between the said Samuel Tyre and Ann Dean

I also give and bequeath unto the said John Dean my Silver Watch and my Wearing Apparel of all kinds
I also give and bequeath unto my friend Thomas Fletcher of Woolwich Caulker the sum of One Pound one shilling for a Mourning Ring as a recompence for the trouble he will have in acting as my Executor in which said Sum of One Pound one shilling I direct shall be paid out of my Stock monies if there is not a sufficiency without that Fund

And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects I give and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Samuel Tyre
and I hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Fletcher Executor of this my Will revoking all former Wills by me made and declaring this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament
