I give and bequeath unto my Wife Hannah Izzard All my household furniture Plate linen China Wine and other Liquors and all other my household Effects and also the sum of One hundred pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to and for her own absolute use and benefit
And I nominate and appoint Richard Taylor of Penshurst aforesaid Farmer and my son in law John Shorter of the same
place Schoolmaster Executors of this my Will
And I give and bequeath to my said Executors All my Monies in the Public Stocks or funds Farming Stock Crops Implements and effects
and all other the Rest Residue and Remainder of my personal Estate Effects and property whatsoever and wheresoever (after
payment of my just debts and of my funeral and testamentary expences) Upon trust to covert the same into money or such
part thereof as shall not consist of ready money or Monies in the Public funds and to lay out and invest all Monies arising
from such conversion and all other my residuary Estate in the names of my said Executors in the public Stocks or funds of
Great Britain or upon real Securities in England and to stand possessed of all Stocks funds and Securities constituting my
residuary personal Estate with power nevertheless for the trustee or trustees for the time being of this my Will in case he
or they shall think fit to sell or dispose of and part of the Stocks funds or Securities held by him or them In Trust
until all my Children shall have attained the age of twenty one years or being Daughters shall marry under that age
to pay the Interest and Dividends of all the said trust monies Stocks funds and Securities to my said Wife while she shall continue my Widow to be by her (and without account) applied or in case my said Wife shall marry again then to be by the Trustee or Trustees for the time being of this my Will applied in the maintenance and bringing up of my Children
and subject to the trust last hereinbefore contained I give and bequeath all the said Trust monies Stocks Funds and Securities constituting
the whole of my residuary estate unto and amongst my eleven younger children namely
Harriet the Wife of Thomas Child
Ann the Wife of the said John Shorter
John Izzard
Frances the Wife of Abraham Kueller
Martha Izzard
Susannah the Wife of Edward Jenner
Jane Izzard William Izzard Stephen Izzard Thomas Izzard and Hannah Izzard
in equal shares and proportions share and share alike as tenants in Common
provided nevertheless in case one or more of my children shall depart this life before his or her share shall become payable leaving
lawful issue Then my Will is that the respective share or shares as well derivative as original which under this my Will would
have belonged to each of my Children so dying shall go to and belong to or be held in Trust for his or her issue to take per
Stirpes and not per Capita if they shall be from differd Branches and equally if they shall be from the same branch but
so as no person shall take under the description of Issue whose parent shall be living at the time
but in case one or more of my children shall depart this life before his or her share shall become payable without leaving lawful issue
Then my Will is that the respective share or shares as well derivative as original which under this my Will would have belonged to each
of my Children so dying shall go to and belong to or be held in Trust for the Survivors or Survivor of my said Children and the
Issue of my Children hereinbefore named as shall have died leaving lawful issue but so as such issue of each child so dying
as last mentioned shall take no greater share than such last mentioned child would have taken if he or she had lived until
his or her share had become payable It being my Will that the shares which shall devolve upon my surviving children shall
and belong to and be held in trust for them respectively in equal shares as tenants in common
And also that such Issue of a deceased Child as aforesaid shall upon every occasion take per Stirpes and not per Capita if they shall be
from different Branches and equally if they shall be from the same branch but so as no person shall take under the description of Issue whose
parent shall be living at the time
And I do direct and declare that if either of them the said Richard Taylor or John Shorter or any future Trustee or Trustees to be appointed in his or their stead shall die or decline to act in the trusts of this my Will then a new trustee or trustees shall be appointed my such of my said children as shall be adult at the time of acting under this power and the said trust monies Stocks funds and securities shall in that case be transferred so as to become vested in such new Trustee or Trustees solely or as the case may require jointly with the continuing Trustee Upon the same trusts and with the powers as are herein before declared and so from time to time as often as the case shall require
And I declare that the trustees for the time being of this my Will shall not be answerable for involuntary losses And that they may retain all reasonable costs charges and Expences occasioned in the due execution of this my Will
In Witness whereof I the said John Izzard the Testator have to this my last Will and
testament contained in three sheets of paper set my hand & seal that is to say my hand to the two preceeding sheets & my
hand and seal to this last sheet this eleventh day of June One thousand Eight hundred and thirty one The Mark X and Seal of John Izzard
