In the Name of God Amen Whenever it shall please Almighty God in whose Hands my Times are to take me his unworthy Servant William Jacomb Vicar of Marden in the County of Kent out of this World which I humbly hope through the Merits of his Son Jesus Christ my blessed Lord and Saviour will be to Everlasting Happiness (as he of his infinite Goodness and Mercy please to grant)
I desire to be buried at Linton in the said County near the Grave of my late dear Wife and Daughter and with the least Expence which is consistent with decently
And as for my Worldly Goods and Substance I dispose thereof as follows That is to say

I leave my Beaffett in the Hall in the Vicaridge House and my Successor for the time being And also the Paper Hangings in the Dining Rooms I leave to the said House and Successors
Also I give and bequeath to the Parochial Library at Maidstone in the said County my Vyzinga de Synogoga Veteri two Volumes in Quarto

Also I give and bequeath to my dear Sister Frances Jacomb the Sum of Twenty Pounds
Also I give and bequeath to my dear Brother Samuel Jacomb ten pounds
Also I give and bequeath to my dear Brother George Jacomb all my Maniscripts inclosed in a certain Box in my Study superscribed and directed to him together with all the old Versions in English I have of the Bible or any part thereof and together with my best Prunella Gown and Cassock

Also I give and bequeath to my dear Son Henry Wightwick one Moiety of all my Linnen of every kind whether Household or Wearing
Also I give and bequeath to my dear Daughter Hannah Briscoe the other Moiety of my said Linnen
And to each of my said dear Children I give the Liberty of making choise for themselves of any one particular part of my Household Furniture be it what it wil but of no more than one Thing apiece

Also I give and bequeath to my Grandson Humphry Wightwick my Silver Watch and Seal together with my little Mare Bridle and Saddle
Also to each of my other Grand Children I bequeath a Guinea apiece
Also I give and bequeath to the Poor of the Parish of Marden aforesaid Fifty Shillings meaning such of them as do not receive Alms of the same

Lastly all the Rest and Residue of my Estate of every kind after my said Legacys are discharged and my Debts paid I give and bequeath to my two dear Nieces Deborah Jacomb and Mary Jacomb the Children of my late Brother Thomas Jacomb to be equally divided between them as they shall agree Constituting also my said two Neices joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness of all which particulars I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this seventh day of October 1740 _ Wm Jacomb _ signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us _

Whereas in the within Will I have given my Son Wightwick and my Daughter Briscoe Liberty of making choise for themselves of any one particular part of my Household Furniture I revoke those Bequests and give my Daughter Briscoe all the Parlour Furniture of every kind

And Whereas I have divided all my Linnen between I mean that they should give my Maid Mary Smith one pair of good Flaxen Sheets old or new which she chooses and also that the Cloath I have wove for shirting be parcelled out by my Daughter Briscoe as far as it will go for such Poor Men in Marden as she thinks proper

Also I leave my Aunt Bennet five pounds
And I desire that below the Inscription on a Copper Plate my dear Wife and Daughter there be added for me
Tandem hic feliciter deventus est Guilielmus Jacomb Cler: predictus nunquam separandus ab illie amplius (sit Lans Aterna Deo) in Celis
