This is the last Will and Testament of me David Jardine late of Moffat in the County of Dumfries Scotland and now of Chatham in the County of Kent Gentleman

I give and bequeath the following legacies that is to say
To my sister Mary Taylor Widow the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds
but in case the said Mary Taylor shall die in my lifetime then I give the same sum of one hundred and fifty pounds to her daughter Ellen Taylor
To my sister Murray the Wife of William Johnston of Castle Douglas Scotland the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds
and to my sister Jane Jardine the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds

And subject to the payment of the aforesaid legacies and my debts funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath all my monies and securities for money plate And all other my personal property and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my brother James Bell Jardine of Chatham aforesaid Doctor of Medicine for his own use and benefit absolutely

And I appoint the said James Bell Jardine sole Executor hereof reserving to myself the power to alter or rescind the same

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty fifth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven The Mark of X David Jardine
