The second day of March Anno Dini 1638 [1638/9]
William Jarvis of Sandhurst in the County of Kent Husbandman beinge sicke in body but of good and p[er]fect memory intendeinge to make his Will used these words or the like in effect for his last will and Testament in manner followeinge

Inprimis hee gave and willed unto John Watts, Richard Watts and Josias Watts sonnes of his Master Josias Watts to every one of them three, forty shillings apeece w[hi]ch said forty shillings a peece his minde and desire was that it should bee payed to them by his Executor heerein after named presentlie or els that hee should give them use and allowance for it when they come to theire severall ages of one and twenty yeares

Item hee gave unto his two sisters to Margery Upton and Eden Jarvis to either of them twelve pence apeece
Item hee willed and gave unto the sonne of his Sister Margery twenty shillinges wch hee said his mother in her lifetyme did devise that Child should have twelve pence a peece more unto the other three Children of his Brother in Lawe John Upton

All the Rest of his goods whatsoever his debtes and legacies being paid and his funerall dutyes dischardged hee willed and gave unto his Master Josias Watts whom hee made the sole & onely executor of that his last will,

these wordes or the very like in effect were uttered and spoken by the said William Jarvis the day and yeare abovesaid in the presence of them whose names are underwritten

William Jervase was buried at St. Nicholas, Sandhurst, Kent on 7 Mar 1638/39.
Margery Jarvase married John Upton 4 Oct 1636 at Sandhurst.
