In the Name of God Amen I James Jarvis of Tenterden in the County of Kent Butcher being weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised be God for the same) Do make this my Last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and form following (that is to say)

First I give and bequeath All and every my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever that I shall Die Seized or Possessed of interested in or any wise entitled to Unto my brother Edward Jarvis his heirs Executors and assigns for ever He paying my Just Debts Funeral expences Probate of this my Will and all other charges incident thereto And I do hereby charge my Real and Personal Estate with the payment thereof according(ly)

And I do hereby make constitute and appoint my said Brother Edward Jarvis Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said James Jarvis the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this one sheet of paper Set my hand and seal this First day of May in the Seventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Sixty Seven

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said James Jarvis the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereto subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other the words "All and every" in the fifth line of his said Will being first wrote on a [e]rasure

The before registered Will of James Jarvis deceased was proved the thirteenth day of June 1767 before the Reverend George Hearne, Clerk, Surrogate to the Worshipfull Francis Simpson Doctor of Laws, Official General to the Reverend the Archbishop of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Edward Jarvis natural and lawful Brother of the deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will he being first sworn duly to perform the same &c.

Notes:
James Jarvis was buried 9 May 1767, aged 53, at St. Mildred, Tenterden, Kent.
James was born 10 Jun 1712 and baptised 9 Aug 1713 at St. Mildred, s. of James and Elizabeth Jarvis.
Brother Edward Jarvis was baptised at Tenterden on 21 Dec 1729.
