Item I doe hereby nominate constitute and appoint my sonne Valentine Jeken sole executor of this my last Will and Testament
Item I give and bequeath unto the poore people of the parrish of Ringwold in the aforesaid County of Kent the summe of Twenty shillings
to bee paid and distributed unto and amongst them by my Executor within one moneth next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane now the Wife of John Harrison of Winsborough the summe of Five pounds of
lawfull mony of England to bee paid unto her within three moneths next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Jeken the summe of Two hundred pounds of lawfull mony of England to bee paid
unto her within one moneth next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Jeken the Leases of the Farme and place called Oxney and of the Rectory or Parsonage
thereof now in his occupacon with all my terme of Yeares and Estate therein hee paying the Rent and performeing the Covenants Conteyened
in the said Lease
And alsoe paying the summe of fifteene pounds of lawfull mony of England per Annum unto my Sister in Lawe Anne Jeken Widdow for
and dureing the terme of her naturall life At two of the fower most usual feast dayes or tymes of payment in the yeare (that is to say)
The feast dayes of St Michael the Archangell and the Annunciacon of the blessed Virgin Mary by even and equall porcions
Item I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Valentine Jeken my two brasse Coppers and all my Brewing Vessells Washing Vessels and Caske
which I will shall remaine to the house wherein I now dwell in Sandwich aforesaid
Item all the rest of my household goods plate Lynnen Bedding Brasse Pewter and all other my Utensills and Implements of household
stuffe which I have and possesse at Sandwich aforesaid I give and bequeath unto my said sonne and daughter Valentine Jeken and Sarah
Jeken equally to bee divided betweene them
Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinsman Valentine Pollin Tenn pounds of lawfull mony of England which I will shall bee in full payment and dischardge of the legacy given unto him and his late Mother deceased by the last Will and Testament of John Jeken my late brother deceased
Item all the rest of my moneys corne Goods Cattells and Chattells and Personall Estate whatsoever my debts Legacyes Funerall Chardges
and Probate of this my Will being first paid and deducted I give and bequeath unto my sonne and Executor Valentine Jeken
Except onely half of the mony due to mee from the honorable Sir Thomas Peyton Barronett one half whereof when recovered I give
unto my said sonne John Jeken
This is the last Will and Testament of mee the first mencioned Valentine Jeken made and declared the aforesaid Nynth day of August in the aforesaid thirtieth yeare of the Reigne of our Said Sovereign Lord King Charles over England etc. touching the disposicon of all and singuler my lands Tenements and hereditaments
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto the said Ann Jeken one Annuity or yearely Rentchardge of Fifteene pounds of lawfull mony of England
per Annum to bee issueing and goeing out and yearely to bee received had and taken by her the said Ann and her assignes dureing the
terme of her naturall life of in and out of All my Messuage or Tenement the Maulthouse Outhouses Edifices and buildings thereunto
belonging with their appurtenances Scituat and being in the parrish of St. Peter in Sandwich aforesaid now in my owne occupacion to
bee paid unto her at the dayes and tymes above lymitted and appointed for the payment of the above mencioned fifteene pounds to bee
paid by my sonne John the first half yeares payment thereof to beginn and to bee made at the first of the Feast dayes aforesaid that
shall first and next happen and come after my decease
And if default shall happen to bee made in payment of the said Annuity or yearely Rentchardge of fifteene pounds contrary to the true
intent and meaneing hereof That then and soe often it shall and may bee lawfull to and for the said Ann Jeken and her assignes to enter
into and uppon the said Messauge Maulthouse buildings and Premisses out of which the same is granted as aforesaid or into any part
thereof and to distreyne and the distresse and distresses then and there from tyme to tyme to take lead Carry away withold and keepe
untill the said annuity and all arreares thereof shall bee well and truely satisfyed and paid
And my will and meaneing is that my sonn John Jekin Shall beginn his payment of the said fifteene pounds a yeare which I have orederd
for him to pay according as I have lymitted and appointed his brother Valentine to beginn his payments of the said fifteene pounds a yeare
And whereas uppon the marriage of my daughter Jane with the said John Harrison I have by deed granted to them the said John and Jane and the heires of the body of her the said Jane One Annuity or yearely Rentchardge of twelve pounds to bee issueing and goeing Out of All my Messauge or Tenement the Barne Stable Place Yard and eighteene acres of land arrable and pasture by estimacion more or lesse to the same Messuage or Tenement belonging or therewith letten or enioyed with their and every of their appurtenances Scituat Sett lying and being in the parish of Woodnesborough also Winsborough in the aforesaid County of Kent And then in the tenure or occupacion of Nearne or his assignes I doe now hereby give all the said Messuage or Tenement Barne buildings lands and premisses with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said daughter Jane and to the heires of her body lawfully begotten for ever
Provided alwayes and uppon Condicion neverthelesse that my sonne in Lawe John Harrison and my daughter Jane his wife their
heires or assignes doe and Shall in Condideracion thereof well and truely pay or cause to bee paid unto my Executor Valentine Jeken
the full sume of One hundred pounds of lawfull mony of England within sixe moneths next after my decease
And if the said One hundred pounds shall not bee paid to my said Executor according to this my Will Then I will and give all the said
Messuage barne Stable lands and premisses and the Rents yssues and profitts that Shall become due over and above the said twelve pounds
per Annum granted out of the same as aforesaid to his my said Executors owne use and to his heires untill the said summe of one hundred
pounds shall bee paid unto him by the said John Harrison and Jane his wife or either of them their or either of their heires or assignes
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Valentine Jekin and to his heires and assignes for ever All that my aforesaid Messuage wherein I now dwell togeather with all my Maulthouse Tenements and buildings thereunto adioyning and belonging in the parrish of St. Peter in Sandwich aforesaid abutting to the Lane there called Love lane towards the West With the Barne Yard Gardens and their appurtenances in my owne occupacon and alsoe the Messuage and appurtenances in occupacion of Widdow Booth with all other adjoyning to the said Lane Except what I have herein after given unto my daughters Ann and Sarah
Item I hereby give unto my said sonne Valentine and to his heirs and assignes for ever All those my severall peices or parcells of Salt Marsh land with their appurtenances lying and being in the parish of Woodnesborough alsoe Winsborough aforesaid or betweene the Wall there called Richborough Wale and Sandwich Haven
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann the wife of Sollomon Solley and to her heires and assignes for ever All that my Messuage or Tenement backside garden and land thereunto belonging with their appurtenanaces now in the tenure or occupacion on one Samuel Barnesly or his assignes with the Roome called the Parlor in the house now in occupacion of Jeoffery Elliott being under a Chamber of the said Messuage in occupacion of the said Samuel Barnesly Scituat and being in the parrish of St. Clement in Sandwich aforesaid
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter the said Sarah Jeken and to her heirs and assignes for ever All that my Messauge or Tenement in occupacion of the said Jeoffery Elliott (except the Roome called the Parlor thereof) the Stables Lofts Stilling house Mill house Wayes backsides and land thereunto belonging now in occupacion of the said Jeoffery Elliott and of Thomas Austen or one of them their or one of their assignes or undertenants And alsoe all other the buildings with the appurtenances in the said Yard now in occupacion of William Bourne Scituat lying and being in the parrishes of St. Peter and St. Clement in Sandwich aforesaid or in one of them
Item I give and bequeath unto the said John Jekin my eldest sonne and to his heirs and assignes for ever All the rest and residue of my Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever with their and every of their appurtenances Scituat Sett lying and being in the parrish of St Clement in Sandwich aforesaid and in the parrish of Ringwold in the said County or elsewhere not before by this my Will given and bequeathed as aforesaid
In witnesse whereof I the said Valentine Jeken first above named to this my last will and Testament in five Sheets of paper conteyned
to the first fower Sheets thereof my hand have Sett and to this fifte and last Sheete my hand and Seale have Sett Dated the day and
yeare first above written.
