In dei nomme Amen Anno din 1560 The xviijth die mensis Aprilis [18th March 1560]
I Nicholas Jervis [w]hole of boddye and pfytt [perfect] memorye (thankes be to God) of frst order I make thys my Last will and testam[en]t in fourme followinge
Firste I bequethe my soule to Almightye God, to o[u]r blessed Savorye [Saviour] and to all the hollye [holy] companye in heaven, my boddye to be buryed in the churche yarde of Adesham besyde the Land theare

Item I will to have at my buryall vij [7] mass, at my monthsmynde [month’s mind] and twelve months mynde like wyse
Item I will to the reparacions [reparations] of the churche of Adesham xijd [12 pence]
Item to the highe aulter [altar] for my tithes necligently forgotten viijd
Item I will to ye poore at my buryall vjd and lyke wyse at my months mynde and xij months mynde

Item I bequethe al my goodes, moveables and unmoveables to Johan my wyffe
And I make John Austen theler [the elder] and Johan my wyffe my executors and Thomas Austen feelber? my overseer

Thees wytnes Wm Dayken, Rycahrd Austen, Robert Broke, John Tayloure, Rychard Nuke

This the laste will of me the foresayd Nicholas Jervis made the daye and year above weytten of all my landes & ten[amen]ts lyeng and beinge in the p[ar]isshe of Adesham & prle? in the county of Kent

Fyrst I will Johan my wyffe shall have my howse wheer I dwell now wt [with] vj acres of Landes lyeing theer vav? her duringe her naturall Lyffe kepinge ye [water?] tight and wynde tight wch our [without?] shrepe [stripe] and waste

and after hir discease I gyve the foresayd howse and Landes to Annys Lowale to her and her heires of her boddye lawfully begotten for ever, payeing to her ij [2] systers Wenyfred and Marye daughters of Thomas Mystin [Austin?] either of them xls to be paid wtin [within] ij years after the discease of my wyffe by them her heires or assignes and yf one dye the one lyver to be heire to other

Item I Will the howse that John Lowle dwelleth in wth the garden belonging therto and the Banycke close by estimacion vj acres be yt more or lesse and vij acres and a halfe lyeing in Barham dayne to Richarde Austen thelder to him (and) his heires for ever payeing therfore xixL iijs iiijd [£19 3s 4d] wch now I will to kepe wthall yf I lyke and after my discease to the p’formance of my Last will to remayne to my wyffe or hir assignes
