In the Name of God Amen I Mary Jervis of Tenterden in ye County of Kent Spinster being sicke in body but of a good disposeing memory and understanding (God be praised) Doe this Eighteenth day of November Anno dini 1665 And in ye seaventeenth yeare of Raigne of our Sovraigne Lord Charles ye second by the grace of God, of England, Scotland and France & Ireland, King, defender of ye faith etc. Make & ordaine this my last Will & Testam[en]t in maner and forme following :
Wherein principally I comend my soul into ye hands of the almighty, my eternall Creator, assuredly beleeveing yt [that] through the meritts of ye Oblacons of ye death & Sacrifice of his onely son & my alone Saviour & Redeemer Christ Jesus I shall after this short & transitory life ended be made partaker of everlasting Joy & happinesse in the Kingdome of God, And my Body I committ to ye Earth to be buried in a decent & Christian manner as my Executrix shall think fitt

Inprimis I give and bequeath to my Sister Dennis Beeching the sume of two pounds of Lawful English Money
Item I give & bequeath to my Sister Elizabeth Jervis the sume of two pounds of Lawfull English Money
Item I give and bequeath to my Sister Ellice Jervis ye like sume of two pounds of Lawfull English Money
Item I give & bequeath to my Brother John Jervis the sume of three pounds
Item I give & bequeath to my Brother James Jervis the sume of three pounds;
to be payd by my Executrix to my said Sisters and Brothers respectively within one yeare after my s[ai]d Executrix shall have Received my porcon from ye hands of my Cousin John Jervis, Executor of ye Last will & testament of John Jervis my father

Item I give & bequeath unto my Loveing Mother Joane Jervis (my funerall expences & Debts being discharged & payd) the Residue of all my Money, Goods & Chattels whatsoever

Item I make constitute and ordaine my sayd Mother Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
And I doe hereby give & grant unto my said Executrix full power and authority after ye Receipt of my foresaid porcon to make or cause to be made all & every such Acquittance, discharge & Release unto my sayd Cousin for ye same as shall be thought requisite and needfull

In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seale Dated the day and yeare first above Written
