In the Name of God Amen I Henry Jordan of Folkestone in the County of Kent Gentleman being in good health of body and of sound Memory (praised be God for the same) but considering the Uncertainties of this transitory Life do make this my last Will and Testament as followeth First and principally I recommend my Soul to the Mercy of Almighty God hoping to obtain pardon of all my Sins and to Inherit Everlasting Happiness in the Kingdom of Heaven by and through the alone Merits and Mediation of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ and as to that worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give and bequeath the same as followeth (that is to say)

First I give and bequeath unto each of my Brothers the Sum of Ten Pounds a piece of lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid to them by my Executors hereinafter mentioned within Six Months next after my decease

And all the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate of what Nature or kindsoever after the payment of all my just Debts Legacys and Funeral Expences I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my three Sisters Frances Katherine and Alice equally to be divided between them Share and Share alike which I hope my Brothers will not take amiss for my only Reason for giving most to my Sisters is because I think them not so well Provided for as my Brothers

And lastly I do hereby make nominate and appoint my Brother John Jordan and my Sister Frances Jordan Joint Executors of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have set and affixed my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of June in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one Hen: Jordan
