This is the last Will and Testament of me Frances Jordan of the Town of Folkestone in the County of Kent Spinster
I desire to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors & Executrixes hereinafter named
I direct all my just debts to be paid & satisfied & after payment thereof I dispose of my Estate as follows (that is to say)

I give to Mrs Hotchkys of Prospect near Plymouth the sum of two hundred & sixteen pounds
but in case she shall happen to die in my lifetime then I give the same to her son Charles Henry Hotchkys
Also I give to Mrs Alice Fuller my kinswoman the sum of five pounds
to my Neighbours Mr John Harvey and Ann his Wife the sum of five pounds each
To my friend Mrs Ann Trims Widow the sum of ten pounds
to her son the Revd John Trims my god son the sum of fifty pounds
Also I give to Mr Edward Tournay of Hythe the sum of ten pounds

Also I give & bequeath to my Servant Elizabeth Fagg provided she shall live with me at my decease a suit of mourning & the sum of five pounds
Also I give & devise to her the said Elizabeth Fagg & her assigns for & during the term of her natural life one annuity or clear yearly sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to her half yearly the first payment thereof to be made & paid on that day six months next after the day of my decease and I direct the same to be paid into her own proper hands & her receipt alone (notwithstanding her coverture if she shall be then married) to be a good & sufficient discharge & discharges to my Exors for the same

And I direct my Exors to set apart a sufficient sum of money out of my Personal Estate for payment of the same annuity & to place the same on such security & in their names as they may think proper And after the decease of the said Elizabeth Fagg I direct the said sum so to be laid out or set apart to sink in to the Residuum of my Personal Estate

I give to my Niece Charlotte Ann Prestwood Shepherd Widow all the Residue & Remainder of my Personal Estate & Effects whatsoever

I direct that the said legacies be paid within six months after my decease
It is my wish & desire that there be erected in the Church at Folkestone in some convenient place a neat but not expensive inscription on marble to the memory of my deceased parents giving an account of their having six sons & three Daughters & that they were all buried in that Church except Thomas one of the sons who was buried at New York in America

And I do nominate constitute & appoint my said Niece the said Charles Henry Hotchkys the said John Harvey and Ann his Wife & the said Edward Tournay joint Executrixes & Executors to this my last Will & Testament

In witness whereof I the said Frances Jordan the testatrix have to this my said last Will & Testament contained in one sheet of paper set & put my hand & seal the 20th day of May in the year of our Lord 1814 F Jordan
