In the name of God Amen the 11th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand five hundred eighty-two and in the XXIIII year of the reign of our Sovereign lady Elizabeth by the grace of God Queen of England, France and Ireland, Defender of the faith.
I Robart Jull of the parish of Denton in the County of Kent, Yeoman whole of mind ad perfect memory do make my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First, I bequeath my soul to Almighty God my saviour and redeemer by whom my onely trust it to be rised, my body to the earth until the time it shall please God to call me out of this transitory life.

I bequeath to the reparation of the parish church of Denton one cow to be delivered by my executor within one month next after my decease.
Item I bequeath to every poor man of the parish of Denton 12D to be paid by my executor within one month next after my decease.
Item I bequeath to Robart Jull my son ten pounds of lawful English money of England to be paid unto him by Adam Jull my son within year next after my decease.

Item I bequeath to John Jull the son of Robart Jull 6 ewes to be delivered by my executor within one month next after my decease.
Item I bequeath to Elizabeth Jull the daughter of William Jull my son six ewes to be delivered likewise within one month after my decease.

The residue of all my goods after my debts paid and legacies paid and my funeral discharged I give to Adam my son whom I make executor of this my last will and testament.
Item I bequeath to John Semper parson of Wootton 3/4d

This is the last will of me the said Robart Jull made the day and year above written and concerning the disposition of all my lands and tenements.

First I will and bequeath unto John Jull my son to his heirs forever the messuage or tenement wherein the said John Jull now dwelleth with the Smithy’s Forge adjoining to the same and two acres be there more or less and one acre and a half of arable ground called Kelcroft all being lying in the parish of Barham.

Item I bequeath to the said John Jull my son and to William Jull my son and to their heirs forever equally and by even portions to be divided between them one field called Green Closed otherwise called Uphild situate, lying and being in the said parish of Denton.

Item I bequeath unto the said William Jull my messuage or tenement with appurtenances wherein the said William Jull now dwelleth with the barn, two stables and two acres thereunto with one close of arable ground containing by estimation 11 acres be there more or less and one little close called Cuckowshay being on the back side of the said barn which I bought of Richard Fytell to have and to hold the same to the said William Jull and his heirs forever.

Nevertheless my will and mind is that Adam Jull my son shall have and enjoy for seven years next after my decease the said little close called Cuckowshay being on the back side of the said barn wholly and half of the said barn and said two stables and during the said seven years sufficiently repairing the same during the said term without paying any rent or service to the said William Jull his brother and also the said Adam Jull to have a place during the said seven years before the ? of the said two stables and two halls to ? and lay his ? and ? in.

Item I bequeath unto Adam Jull my son the house wherein I now dwell with the appurtenances and all my lands and tenements lying and being on the north east road and the farmhouse and one close called Firstsinge containing by estimation two acres be there more or less situate and being in the parishes of Denton and Barham to have and to hold to him and his heirs forever.

I bequeath unto the said Adam my son my messuage or tenement with appurtenances being and lying at Silsted and twenty acres of land be there more or less thereto belonging being and lying in the parishes of Wootton and Swinfield in the County of Kent to have and to hold the same to the said Adam Jull his heirs forever
upon condition that the said Adam Jull his heirs or assigns do pay unto the said Robert the ten pounds before in my testament to him the said Robart within one year next after my decease according to the said at the mansion house or tenement where the said Robert Jull the father now dwell and if the said Adam Jull or his heirs or assigns fail in payment thereof then I will that the said Robart Jull my son after that he hath lawfully demanded the said ten pounds after the day of the year aforesaid expired to distrain and the difference to be taken to read divide or ? away and yet to hold until such time that the said Robart Jull be fully satisfied contented and paid.

In witness hereof present at the making and confirmation hereof William Prowte, Walter Mowbray on the 11th day of October in the XXIIII of the reign of Queen Elizabeth Anno One thousand five hundred eighty two witness more put the fourth day of November in the XXV year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth
