In the name of God Amen The xvth of May in the yere of oure Lorde 1561 and in the Thyrde year of the Reigne of our Sovraigne Ladye Elizabeth by the grace of god Quene of Inglande Frannce and Irelande defender of the faith etc.
I Willyam Kempe of Wye beinge of hole mynde and pfytte [perfect] remembrance prayse be god therefore doo make my testament and Last will in manner and forme following
Fyrste I commytt my Soule to Allmyhtye god our heavenlye Father who thoroughe the deathe and blude shedinge of Jhs xpe [Jesus Christ] my savyoure hathe adopted me to be his child and I commytt my boddye to the earthe as one that hopethe and undoubtedlye belivethe to aryse againe to Lyffe at the Laste daye

Item I will to the poore mens boxe xijd
Item I will unto Thomsyn my wyffe all my howsholde stuffe and the one halfe of all my other goods and moveables excepte all suche sommes and prcells [parcels] of monye as ys nowe owinge unto me, the wche [which] sommes and pcells of monye I will to be in the kepinge of C__orma? her grandam owt her porcon to her bequethed

Item I will unto my other two daughters Jane and Joan (after my debts be payde) that othr halfe of my moveables that ys unbequethed equallye to be deviyed betwene them
And the eldest of my sayd Last two daughters owt of her porcon to her bequethed to be in the kepinge of Philip Serma? of Cannterburye

Item I will unto Symon Cobbe my bowe, and shafts and iijs iiijd
Item I will unto Mychaell Chander the Lease that I have of my Lande Lorde Mr. Coke at Godmersham discharging and in that behalfe

The Resydew of all my goods and moveables, me debts beinge payde I give and bequethe unto Thomsyn my wyffe whom I make my sol Executryxe
And I ordaine my Brother Thomas Pett to myne Overseer in the same

11 Oct 1558 Jane. Burial: 23 Oct 1558 Joane Kempe and William Kempe 20 May 1561.
14 Jan 1562 Thomysn Kempe, widow and Alex Filpott were married at Wye.
