Memorandum that I Thomas Kempe Cordwainer of Cranbrooke in the County of Kent, doe ordeyne this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge
First I give and bequeath my Soule to God trustinge in the meritts of Jesus Christ alone for my justification and Salvation and my body to bee buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Kempe and my Sister Joane Kempe, namlie to either of them (if they been liveinge) twelve pence a peece, if they come to demand it of my Executrix

Item because I have nothing to give away from the necessary maintenance of Ann my wife, I give unto her all my goods, moveables, Chattells, debtes or whatsoever belongeth to mee as mine

wch Ann my wife I ordeyne my whole Executrix, And doe will that she pay me debtes, legacies and funerall expences out of my goods And then take all the rest to her owne behalfe and benefitt And to her heyres for ever

In Wittnes whereof I have sett my hand and Seale to this my will the day & yeare above written

Notes:
Thomas Kempe was buried 30th January 1639 at St. Dunstan, Cranbrook.
Thomas Kempe appears to have been christened at Cranbrook 3rd Feb 1594; brother John 19th Oct. 1589. Sister Joane is not found. Note: no parents are listed for christenings of this date.
Thomas Kempe�s marriage to an Ann(e) is not found.
