Item I give and bequeath twenty shillings of good and lawfull mony of England to bee distributed among tenn poore widowes of the towne of Lidd on the day of my buryall as mine Executrix shall thinke fitt
Item I give and bequeath unto John Kempe my kinde and loveing Brother the sume of three pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to bee paid unto him by my Executrix when hee shall accomplish and come to the age of one and twenty yeares But if it please God hee depart this life before hee shall accomplish and come to the age of one and twenty yeares Then my will and minde is that my Executrix shall pay the said three pounds given as afforesaid unto Joane Kempe my kinde and loveing Sister at such time as hee my said Brother should have accomplished the said age of one and twenty yeares if hee had lived
Itim (sic) I give unto the aforesaid Joan Kempe my Sister the Sume of Fifty shillings of good and lawfull mony of England to bee paid unto her by my Executrix when shee shall accomplish and come to the age of twenty yeares But if it please God shee depart this life before shee shall accomplish and come to the age of twenty yeares Then my will and minde is that my Executrix shall pay the sid Fiftie shillings given as afforesaid unto John Kempe afforesaid my Brother at such time as shee my Sister should have accomplished the said age of twenty yeares if shee had lived
Item I give and bequeath unto George Berry my kind and loveing kindson [kinsman] the sume of five pounds of good and lawfull mony of England to bee paid unto him by my Executrix within seaven monthes next after my decease
Itim (sic) I give unto Olimpha [Olympia] wife of the said George Berry * the sume of twenty
shillings to bee paid unto her by my Executrix within seaven months next after my decease
* George Berry married �Olympha� Wren, widow, 17 Aug 1631 at All Saints, Lydd.
Itim (sic) I give unto Elizabeth Foster my goddaughter the sume of Forty shillings to bee paid unto Edward Foster her Father to her use within twelve months next after my decease But if it please God the said Elizabeth my Goddaughter doe depart this life before the said twelve months bee expired my will and minde is that the said Forty shillings shalbee paid by my Executrix unto the said Edward Foster to the use and benefit of Katherine Luglin Sister of the said Elizabeth Foster
Item I give unto Mr. Neale, Curate of Lidd, the Sume of twenty shillings for his paines to preach at my funerall
All the residue of my moveable goods Cattell Cahttells debts and ready mony my debts legacies and funerall expences first paid and discharged I give unto Katherine my kinde and loveing Wife whom I doe constitute and appoint to bee my Sole and Whole Executrix of this my last wil and testament made and declared as abovesaid
