Item I give to my daughter Sarah Cowell my best bedstedle
And unto my daughter Hester Brodnax all the goods and household shiste of mine that is now
remaining in the now dwelling house in the said Strete in Longporte neer Canterbury
Item I give to my grandson Thomas Craft forty shillings to buy him a Suite of cloathes
Item I give and devise to my said daughter Hester Brodnax and my daughter Sarah, Edward Kempe and my Grandaughter Elizabeth Fulks and to their heires and assignes for ever, all that my messuage or Tenement and garden thereunto belonging in the p�ishe of St. Michael Harbledowne aforesaid to be equally devded beween them fower which messuage garden and premisses are now in my owne occupation
But if my Son Edward Kempe (being now gone to sea) doe not hereto come home unto England againe then I will his pte [part] of the said house and p�misses shall decend and come to the said Hester Brodnax Sarah Cowell and Elizabeth Fulks their heires and assignes for ever to be equally devided betweene them three
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Hester Brodnax Sarah Cowell [and] Edward Kempe (in case he live to come home) and Elizabeth Fulke all the rest of my goods chattells and household stuffe to be equally divided betwixt them after my debts Legacyes and funerall Expences are paid
Item I make and ordaine my said daughter Hester Brodinax my Sole and onely Executrix of this my last will & testament
Item I give to Elizabeth Fulke my great bras ketle that was her mothers and to Thomas Craft
the iron pott that was his fathers
Item I give all the rest of my Grandchildren twelve pence apeece

Richard Kempe married Margaret Lucas on 31 Dec 1642 at St. Nicholas, Thanington, Canterbury, by Licence.
The entry reads: Richard Kempe of Harbledown, Can maker, Ba., 23 and upwards, whose parents are dead and Margaret Lucas,
same parish, Widow of Edward Lucas, late of Canterbury, deceased. 30th Dec. 1642.
Interestingly, Edmund Lucas is given as marrying Ann Wickes at Harbledown in 1634 � no marriage to a Margaret is found in Kent....
