In the name of God Amen
I John Kemp of the parish of Reculver in the County of Kent Fisherman being of perfect mind and memory praised be God therefore do make ordain publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
Imprimis I Commend my Soul into Gods hands hoping to be Saved thereto [by] the alone merits if Christ Jesus my Saviour and my body to be buried in the Churchyard of the parish of Hearne as near my father and mother as Conveniently maybe at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as for all my Worldly Estate Goods and Chattells wherewith it hath pleased God me mercifully to Endow I give and bequeath them in manner and form following

Imprimis I will all my debts to be paid
Item I give unto my Son John Kemp my House and Land at Hunters Forstall in the parish of Hearne in the County of Kent now in the Occupacon of Thomas Andrews and after his decease to his eldest son and heirs for ever

Item I give unto my Loving Wife Susanna Kemp my House and Land at Beltinge which I have purchased of John Dunstan to her during her natural Life
and after her decease to my Grandson John Kemp and his heirs for ever

And as for all my Ready money Debts household goods Wares Stock and Crop and all other my Goods and Chattells whatsoever I give and bequeath them unto my Loving Wife Susanna Kemp whom I hereby make Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament in the hopes that if at her Decease The house [has?] anything Left She will give the same to my Children

In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seal this 19th day of June 1711

I do also hereby give unto the four Children of my Daughter Susanna Chapman the Wife of William Chapman of Ferversham in the County of Kent lately deceased the Sume of Forty shillings apeice to be paid them by my Grandson John Kemp within four years after mine and my Wifes decease

Notes:
John Kempe was christened at St. Mary, Reculver on 3rd Sep 1657, s. of Christopher.
A later son John Kempe was christened at St. Martin, Herne on 1 Feb 1665 to Christopher and Joane Kempe. It is this latter son to whom this Will refers.
30 May 1669 a sister Martha Kempe was also christened at Herne.
Christopher�s marriage to Joane not found (Commonwealth?).

Joane Kempe was buried at Herne on 8th October 1670.
Christopher Kempe was buried at Herne 14th December 1688.
John Kempe (to whom this Will refers) married Susanna Storey 12th December 1657 at St. Alphage, Canterbury. Son John�s birth not found at present.
Susannah Kemp married William Borton 1 Nov 1719 at St. Martin, Herne.

William Chapman and Susanna Kemp�s marriage NOT found. William Chapman married a Deborah Kemp in 1703 in Faversham.
