In the Name of God Amen I Sarah Kemp Widow of the Town and Port of Sandwich in the County of Kent being weak in Body but of sound and perfect Memory do make and ordain this hereafter mentioned to be my last Will and Testament in Form following
Imprimis I commend my Soul to God my Creator who gave it me and my Body to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as to that small portion of Worldly Goods which are at my disposal I give as followeth

Imp. I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Richard son of my son William two large Silver Spoons
and to my Grandson John son of my son Joseph one Silver spoon
and my Will is that my good Cousin Hutton have my best Cloak, Silk Gown
and my daughter, my Son William�s Widow (Jane), the next best Gown
and my will is that all my other Wearing Apparell both Linnen and Woollen be shared between my Cousin Hutton and my son William�s Widow equal

And also I do hereby appoint and make my good Friend and Cousin Susan Hutton Widow to be Sole Executrix of this my Will declaring at the same Time she paying my just Debts and Funeral Charges and if there should be any overplus left my Will is she take it to herself for her trouble

to which short Will I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this fifteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Thirty and Eight

the before Registered Will of Sarah Kemp was proved the 23rd day of January in the Year 1749 before the Revd. William Broderip Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws Official General to the Revd. the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Susan Hutton Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was committed she being first sworn duly to Execute the same

Notes:
Sarah Kemp was buried at St. Mary, Sandwich on 28th December 1749.
John Kemp, of St. Lawrence in Thanet, aged 28, married Sarah Does, of Sandwich, also aged 28, at St. Andrew, Canterbury on 16th April 1694.
Their known children:
29-Sep 1695 Joseph Sandwich, St. Mary the Virgin (presumably, he dies � but no burial has been found)

03-Aug 1703 Mary Sandwich, Corn Market Independent or Presbyterian
17-Feb 1706 Joseph Sandwich, Corn Market Independent

John Kemp was not christened at St. Lawrence in Thanet
Son Joseph Kemp married Margaret Longley 14th September 1729 at St. Lawrence in Thanet.
Their only known child, John Kemp (mentioned in the Will) was christened there on 19th April 1730.

Son William Kemp married Jane Raite on 6th May 1734 at St. Mary the Virgin, Sandwich. Their only known child, Richard Kemp (also mentioned in the Will) was christened at St. Mary, Sandwich on 9th May 1736.
