Whereas my Husband Henry Kemp * deceased for and by his last will and Testament Gave and Bequeathed unto me among other things All that his Freehold Dwelling house Garden and Premises thereunto belonging wherein he then dwelt and I now reside but certain doubts having arisen whether by virtue of such Gift and Bequest I am entitled to the Freehold and Inheritance of the said Estate or not, I do hereby in order to obviate do away and remove such Doubts Give and Devise the said Freehold Estate unto my only Son Philip Kemp his heirs and assigns for ever he my said son Philip being the only Heir at law of his said late father
Also I Give and Bequeath all my Household Goods and Furniture Stock Crop Utensils Implements Monies Securities for Money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (subject nevertheless and Charged and Chargeable with the payment of all my just Debts funeral Expenses and the Charges and Expenses of paying this my will) Unto my two Daughters Susanna Kidder and Mary Ann equally to be divided between them share and share alike and to their respective Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
Provided always and I do hereby declare that if upon a Valuation to be taken immediately after my Decease my said Personal Estate us bequeathed to my two Daughters aforesaid shall Value the Sum of One Thousand six Hundred pounds then such Surplus shall be equally divided between And I do hereby notwithstanding anything therein contained to the contrary Give and Bequeath such Surplus unto my said Son Philip and my said two Daughters Susanna Kidder and Mary Ann share and share alike and to their several and respective Executors Administrators and Assigns
And I do hereby make nominate and appoint my Brother Matthew William Sankey and my Brother in law Augustine Kemp Executors of this my last Will and Testament and also Guardians of the Persons and Estates of any infant Children
And hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made I do make publish and declare this only to be my
last Will and Testament

The before Registered Will of Susannah Kemp deceased was proved the Ninth day of October 1804 before the Revd. Joshua Dix Clerk Surrogate to the Right Honble [Honourable] Sir William Scott |Knight Doctor of Laws Official General to the Reverend the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Matthew William Sankey the Brother and Augustine Kemp the Executors named in the said Will They being first sworn duly to perform the same

Henry Kemp married Susannah Sankey 3rd September 1786 at St. Andrew, Canterbury. Witness was Matthew Sankey.

Henry Kemp died aged 42 and was buried at Harbledown on 3rd April 1803 *
Susanna Kemp died and was also buried at Harbledown on 17th July 1804
* This gives him a birth date of 1761 + 2 years. The only christening I have been able to find
(and it actually fits spot on) is: 22nd Feb 1761 Henry Kemp to John and Mary at Throwley, St. Michael & All Angels. Hmmm....
Philip Henry Kemp (Henry and Susannah�s son) married in 1807 in Canterbury to a Mary
Kemp � no idea who this is, at present. He died and is buried at Littlebourne 5th March 1818 aged 32.
