I Give and Devise all my Estate and Effects both real and personal and of what nature or kind soever the same may consist and be at the time of my decease unto Charles Pitt of the City of Canterbury Conveyancer and my Son William Kemp and the Survivor of them his Heirs Executors and Administrators
Upon Trust to permit and suffer my dear Wife Mary to reside in my Dwelling house and premises or otherwise to receive and take the Rents and profits thereof to arise for her own use and benefit for and during the term of her natural life in case she shall remain and continue my widow
And from and immediately after the decease of my said wife or marriage again which may first happen I do hereby will and direct that my said Trustees or Trustee shall stand and be possessed of my said real and personal Estate In Trust for all and every my children both male and female until my youngest child shall have attained her age of twenty one years.
And when and as soon as my said youngest Child shall have attained her said age of twenty and one years Upon Trust to sell and convert my said real and personal Estate and Effects into money either by public auction or private Contract and divide the same unto and amongst all and every of my said Children who shall then be living by equal shares and proportions
And I do hereby direct that the Busines shall be carried on by my said Son William (Provided he may think proper to carry on the same) for the benefit of my said Wife and Children until my said youngest Child shall attain her said age of twenty and one Years when the same together with the Stock and Utensils shall be disposed of In case my said Wife shall then be deceased and the money arising from such disposition shall be in like manner equally divided between such of my said Children who may be then Surviving
And it shall be lawful for the said Charles Pitt his Executors or Administrators to allow my said Son William a reasonable weekly or yearly sum of money out of the Profit of such Business by way of Salary or wages and in case my said Son shall at any time neglect or refuse to carry on such Business Then the said Charles Pitt his Executors or Administrators shall be at liberty to employ some other fit proper person to superintend and carry on the same until the time and for the purposes herein before mentioned
And it is my Will that at the time the said Business Stock and Utensils shall be about to be disposed of, my said Son William shall have the first offer or refusal thereof
And I do hereby charge and make subject my said real and personal Estate to and with the payment of all my just Debts funeral Expences the Charges of proving and carrying into execution this my Will and all other incidental charges
And I direct and declare that the receipts or receipts of my said Trustees or Trustee shall be a sufficient discharge to the purchaser or purchasers of my said real Estate and such purchaser or purchasers shall not be obliged to see to the application or nonapplication of such purchase money And my said Trustees shall not one of them be answerable or accountable for the other of them but each of them only for his own acts and defaults
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Charles Pitt and my said Son William Kemp joint Executors of this my Will and revoke all former or other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare these presents to be and contain my last Will and Testament

contained and written on two sheets of paper to the first sheet thereof set my Hand and to this
second and last sheet thereof set my Hand and Seal this eighth day of April One thousand eight

The before registered Will of William Kemp deceased was proved the tenth day of June 1837 before the Reverend John Peachey Francis, Clerk, Surrogate to the Worshipful Sherrard Beaumont Bunnaby Doctor of Laws Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of William Kemp, Son of the Deceased, one of the Executors named in the said Will He being first sworn well and truly to perform the same (Charles Pitt the other Executor having renounced by Proxy.)

Living in Sculcoates, Yorkshire with 3 children in 1851.
William Kemp died aged 48 and was buried 16th April 1829 at Ash, quickly followed by his wife Mary on 2nd July 1829, aged 50. This may explain why there was a delay in proving the Will.
