In the Name of God Amen the 8th day of Aprill in the yeare of o[u]r Lord 1647: and in the yeare of the reigne of or most gratious soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England France and Ireland Kinge defender of the faith &c.
I John Kesbie of Ashford in the Countie of Kent Batcheller beeing in good and p[er]fect memorie make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge (that is to say)
First I bequeath my soule to Allmightie God and I Committ my body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of Henry Hart whome I make my sole executor

Item I give unto my Brother Johnson's Sonne Thomas five poundes in monie to be paid hime by my executor at the age of 21 yeares:
moreover I give and bequeath unto the said Thomas Johnson one plaine boarded Chest with all that is in it moreover I give unto the said Tho(mas) all my wearinge Cloathes both Woollen and Linnen

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Johnson's daughter Anne five poundes in monie to be paied her 6 moneths after my discease
moreover I give and bequeath unto the said Anne Johnson one new joyned Chest with all that is in it Moreover I give and bequeath unto the said Anne one Flock bed and boulster lyinge now at Francis Wachers in the p[ar]ish of Hearst moreover I give unto the said Anne one Brasse Kettle

Item I give unto my Brother Jeames Johnson one shillinge
Item I give and bequeath unto my Landlord Robert Porter and his wife 2s 6d a peece
Item I give unto his sonne Thomas Porter 2s 6d and to his daughter Mary 2s 6d
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Oliver 2s 6d
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Lyne of Ashford my Fowling peice
Item I give and bequeath unto Marjerie Line 5s
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Line 5s
Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Line 10s
Item I give unto Elizabeth Lyne one litle Trunck which is at Robert Porters
Item I give unto my Brother Allexander Hart 5s

This is the Last will and Testament of me the aforesaid John Kesbie
