In the name of God Amen the 26th daye of Auguste in the sixte yeare of the Raigne of o[u]r Sovraigne Lord James by the grace of God of Englande, Fraunce & Ireland, king, defender of the faithe &c. and of Scotlande the two & fort[i]eth
I Joane Kingsforde of Norborne in the Countye of Kente widowe beeing sicke & weake in bodye but of p[er]fecte minde I memorye {God be prayse(d) therefore) doe ordaine & make thease prsents to Containe & bee my laste will & testament in manner & forme followeinge
Firste I beequeathe my sowle into the hands of allmightie God, hopeing that for Christe Jesus sake? I shall bee made a Coheire of his heavenlie kingdome, and my bodye to the earthe to bee berydd decentlye accordeing to the discreton of my executor heereunder named

Item I give unto Andrewe Kingsforde my sonne twentye bushelles of barlye, sweete, cleane & drye and marchantable of the beste to bee delivred unto him by my executor one this side of the feaste of the Nativity of or Lorde Jesus Christe nexte enseweinge after the daye of my decease
Item I give unto the said Andrewe all my sheepe, ewes, Lambes or weathers whatsoever wch I have nowe in my keepinge, and to bee delivred unto him by my executor wthin one momneth after my decease

Item I give unto Bartholomewe Kingesforde my sonne xxti [20] bushells of the like barlie to bee delivered unto him in manner & forme aforesaide
Item I give unto Bartholomewe my saide sonne halfe a seame of wheate, sweete & good and one good milthe cowe, to bee delivred unto him by my saide executors wthin one mometh after my decease

Item I give unto Elizabeth Kingesforde my dawghter xxli [£20] of lawfull Englishe monye to bee paide unto her by my executor wthin nine monethes after my decease, and one feetherbed & boulster
Allsoe I give unto Joane Kingesforde my dawghter other xxli of like lawfull Englishe monye to bee paide unto her in manner & forme aforesaide
Item I give unto Joane my said dawghter the beste feetherbed wch I have in my nowe dwellinge howse, wth all the furniture thereunto beelonging togeather allsoe wth sixe paier of the beste sheets to bee delivred unto her wthin one moneth after my decease

Item I doe allsoe give unto Andrewe my saide sonne halfe a seame of good, sweete and Cleane wheate, to bee delivred unto him wthin one moneth after my decease
Item I give unto Margaret Bridges my dawghter xlti [£40] of lawfull Englishe money to bee paide unto her by my executor wthin nine monethes after my decease
Item allsoe I give unto Stephen Wood my sonne in lawe xxli of good & lawfull Englishe money to bee paide unto him wthin one yeare after my decease by my executor

Item I give unto John Kingsforde my sonne five seames of barlye, sweete, Cleane & marchantable of the beste to bee delivred unto him by my executor wthin one moneth after my decease
Item allsoe I give unto my said sonne John one of the beste horses wch I have nowe in my Custodye & keepinge and to be delivred unto him wthin 2 dayes after my decease

Item I give unto Roger Elson my sonne in lawe xls lawfull monye of Englande to bee paide unto him by my executor wthin one moneth after my decease
Item I give unto Jane Kingsforde my goddawghter five pounds lawfull Englishe monye to bee paide unto her by my executor
Item I give unto Elizabeth, Alice & John Pennye xxxs to bee equalie devided beetwixte them, & to bee paide by my executor
Item I give unto the poore of the saide p[ar]ishe of Norborne xs to bee distributed by my executor at the daye of my buriall
Item I give unto Andrewe my sonne the beste feetherbed saveinge one wth the furniture thereunto beelonginge

Item all other my goods, moveables, implements & utensills of howshold whatsoever not afore given I give unto Thomas Kingsford my sonne whome I ordaine and make my full & holl [whole] executir of this my laste will & testament

Notes:
Joane Kingsforth was buried at Northbourne 28 Aug 1608.
John Kyndsford married Joan Kennet 12 Oct 1568 at St. Augustine, Northbourne, Kent.
Their children: Alles Kyndsford 28 Mar 1574 - at Northbourne; and: Lawrence 22 Nov 1573; John 20 May 1580; Andrewe 20 Mar 1584; Elizabeth 9 Oct 1586; Bartholomew 1 Sep 1588 and Joane 8 Oct 1592 – all at St. George, Ham, Kent.
A John Kingsforth was buried at Northbourne 4 May 1600.
Margery Kingsford, virgin of Ham, married Stephen Wood, Yeoman of Worth, on 18 Dec 1600 at St. Mary Bredman, Canterbury, Kent, by Licence.
Agnes Kingsforth, singlewoman of Ham, married firstly Richard Penny, Yeoman of Worth on 1 Oct 1593 at St. Mary Magdalene, Canterbury. She then married: Roger Elson of Worth, yeoman and Ann Penny, same parish, widow, at St. Mary Bredman, Canterbury on 2 Jul 1606, by Licence.
