In the name of god Amen The fyfte daye of September in the fyftine yere of the Raigne of oure Sufferaigne lord Jeames by the grace of god of England France & Earland kinge defender of the fayther &c and of Scotland the on and fifety in the yere of oure lord 1617
I Steven Kingsdowne of the parishe of Minster in the eyll of Shepye in the county of kent yeoman doe ordaine & make this to be my laste wille and Testament
And firste I commend my soulle into the hands of Allmyghtye god hopinge to be saved by the deathe & meryts of Jesus Christe and by noe other meanes And my body to be buried at the Lordes plesure

Item I give to the poore of the parishe of Minster fifty shillinges & to the poor of the Towne of Quinborowe Ten shillinges to be paid on St Stevens day next after my decease by my executor
Item I give to the poore of the parishe of Eastchurche twenty shillinges & to the poore of the parishe of Warden Ten shillings & to the poore of the parishe of Laysdowne Ten shillinges all to be paid on St Stevens day next after my decease by my executor

Item I give to Thomas Hixe five pound to be paid on holl yere after my decease
Item I give to Ane Umfry Twenty pound to be paid hir at the Age of on & twenty yeres to be paid hir half yerely by mye executor
Item I give to Susanne Parker widow forty shillinges & to her three daughters Twenty shillinges a pece to be paid fowertine dayes after the feast of the Auunciacion of the blessed virgin St Mary next after my decease by my executor

Item I give to Steven Haine Twenty shillinges to be paid within thre monthes next after my decease by mye executor
Item I give to Purcel Burgess Ten poundes to be paid on St Steven day next after my decease by my executor
Item I give to him more whatsoever he doethe owe me at my decease
Item I giving three Systers eache of them A Twenty shilling pence to be paid them within on monthe after my decease

Item I give to Henry Larke & Thomas Larke my house & land called Laybornes & Rusham & to theire heyres for ever provided, and my will & meaninge is that so the said Henry & Thomas Larke do happen to dy without heyres of theire bodyes lawfully begotten then the said house & land shalbe & remaine to the Right heyres of Thomas Kingsdowne my brother
Item my will & meaning is that Jane Bateman theire mother shall receave the Rent of the said house & land after the feaste of St Mychaell next after my decease untyll the said Henry & Thomas com to the age of one & twentye yeres

Item I give the some of five poundes a yere to An Wood of Myllsted out of my land called Sanders to be paid hir halfyerly dureinge the terme of Ten yere yfe she lyve so longe by my executor
Item I give to Ana Burgese the wife of Panele Burges forty shillinges & to hir nyne chilldren nyne pound to be payd all to the said Ane on maye day next after my decease by my executor

Item I give Mr Chitton forty shillings to preach at my funerall
Item I give to widoe Paine thre poundes to be paid hir fowertine dayes after my decease by my executor
Item I give to Christopher Bateman & to John Wood each of them a cowe & Twenty shilling pece to be paid presently after my decease by my executor

Item I give to William Kingsdowne, Henry & Thomas Larke each of them forty shilinges a peece to be paid by my executor
Item I give to Jane Bateman my fir cheste & all the lynnen in yt & Two sillver spones, a gret ketle & six cushings to be dellyvered presently after my decease
Item I give hir more in consideration of halfe my houshold Ten poundes be paid hir within two yeres next after my decease by my executor
Item I give to An Wood aforsaid my gold ringe for ever

Item I will & bequeth my house called Taskins & all my land in Shepi & not before bequethed with all my goodes unbequethed to Thomas Kingsdowne my brother who I ordaine & make my full and solle executor to this my will to see my dets & my legasies paid & my funerall discharged
