Imp. I give and bequeath unto my three sons THOMAS, HENRY and FRANCIS KIPPS the sum of forty pounds a piece of good and Lawful money of England to be paid unto each of them within Nine months next after my Decease and to my son THOMAS KIPPS aforesaid all my wearing apparel whatsoever both Linen and Woollen.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Loving sister KATHERINE Wife of OFFLER? DYER the sum of Twenty pounds of good and Lawful money of England to be paid unto her within Nine months after my Decease.
Item all other my goods and chattels after payment of my Legacies aforesaid my Debts funeral expenses and charges of the probate of this my Will and all other charges whatsoever any way so concerning my said Will or Estate being out set I give and bequeath the same unto my Loving Wife AMEY.
And lastly I do hereby revoke annul and make
void, all and every former and other Will and Wills by me made or published at
any time before the date here of and I do hereby nominate ordain and appoint my
said Loving Wife AMEY and my Loving Son THOMAS KIPPS aforesaid joint Executors
of this my last Will and Testament. IN WITNESS where of I have here unto set my
hand and seal this fourteenth day of August in the fourth year of the Reign of
our Sovereign Lord King James the Second over England etc. 1688. X the mark
of the said Testator HENRY KIPPS. Signed sealed published and declared by
the above named HENRY KIPPS the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in
the presence of
Wm. Tonkins/Jenkins William Law John Rosewell.
Probatum fuit imjusmodi Testamentum Probate was granted of the above Will apud Roffam septimo die mensis Septembris Anno Domiini Millesimo Sex centisimo et at Rochester on the seventh day of the month of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand six hundred and Octogesimo Octavo Coram dicreto viro Johanne Wyvell clerico surrogato ven [erabi]lis et eighty eight before the prudent man John Wyvell Clerk. Surrogate of the Venerable and Egregij viri Caroli Hedges Legum Doctoris Reverendi in Christo patris at Dinijuis domini Honourable man Charles Hedges Doctor of Laws Reverend father in Christ moreover of the Lord Thomae permisione divina Roffea. Episcopi Vicarij in Sp-us generalis sive Commissarij Thomas, by divine authority Bishop of Rochester, Vicar General, (spiritual) or commissaries, Et l[egi]time constituiti Juramento Amey Kipps et Thomas Kipps Executor[es] et quibus and lawfully constituted, by the oath of Amey Kipps and Thomas Kipps Executors, etc., who de bene etc., Jurat Salvojure cujus cumque alleva. to well etc., were sworn; saving the rights of whosoever.
