In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Knackston of the City of Rochester in the County of Kent Esquire being of sound and perfect disposing mind memory and understanding Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) Principally and in the first Place I commend my Soul into the Hands of God the Creator and most merciful Redeemer of it My body I commit to the Earth the Mother of all things and my Spirit to the God that gave it to be buried as privately as may be in sure and certain Hope of a Resurrection to a Life Eternal and of its being Changed And of a Vile Body made like unto my Saviour�s Glorious Body according to that mighty working of his whereby he is able to subdue all things to himself

And I do hereby make name constitute and appoint my beloved Wife Frances Knackston sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and as to such Worldly Estate as God hath been pleased to bless me with I dispose of the same as followeth (that is to say)

After Payment of my Debts Funeral Expences and the charges of Proving this my Will I give devise and bequeath all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever unto my said beloved Wife Frances Knackston To have and to hold to her her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns

But in case of her decease before me or if she should happen to survive me and die intestate Then and in such case

I give devise and bequeath All that my Moiety of certain Messuages or Tenements situate laying and being in the Parish of Strood in the said County of Kent with the Appurtenances with all my Right Title and Interest of in and to the same unto my Neice France Flight (Wife of Colonel Thomas Flight) and to her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns

Also I give and bequeath all that my Messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell with the Appurtenances situate laying and being in the Parish of Saint Nicholas Rochester in the said County of Kent and also all the Household Goods and Furniture therein (Plate excepted) unto my Sister Mary Knackston Spinster and to her Executors Administrators and Assigns

Also I give and bequeath the Legacy or Sum of two hundred Pounds of Lawful Money of Great Britain to my Sister Hannah Beckwith (Wife of Mr William Beckwith)
Also I give and bequeath the Legacy or Sum of two hundred Pounds of like Lawful Money to my Sister Frances Powney (Wife of Mr Robert Powney) to be paid in Six Months next after my Decease upon the contingency of my said Wife dying
And in such case I do substitute and appoint my said two Sisters Hannah Beckwith and Mary Knackston Joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament

hereby revoking all former and other Wills or Testaments by me at any time heretofore made declaring this only to be my last Will and Testament contained in Two Sheets of Paper
In Witness whereof I have to each sheet set my Hand and seal this Eighth day of June in the first Year of the Reign our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty one T Knackston
