Ready money Debts household stuffe and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever of me and
Wheresoever and of what nature Quality or Degree soever the Same shall Exist and be at the time of my
Decease After my Debts which I shall owe at my Decease, Funeral Expences And Probate of this my Last
Will and Testament being first Satisfied and paid
I give and Bequeath the Same unto my Loving Wife Elizabeth Knott her Executors and Admrs. forever
And I doe hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my Said Wife Elizabeth Sole and whole Executrix of this my last Will and Testam't
This Is The Last Will and Testament of me the Said Henry Knott
And I doe hereby Revoke disanul and make void all forme Wills be me heretofore made
Item I give and bequeath unto my Sons William Knott Daniel Knott and my Daughter Mary Knott the
full Sume of Ten pounds a piece of Lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid unto each of them my said Children
(after the decease of my said Wife Elizabeth If then shall happen to Survive and overlive me the sd. Henry)
by my Sons John Knott and Henry Knott at Such time or times as my Children Shall Receive ther Dividend hereafter Menconed
If my said Children William Knott Daniel Knott And Mary Knott be Arrived Severally to the age of One and Twenty Years or my Daughter
Mary be then Married, But if all or any of them be not arrived to their Severall Ages of one and Twenty
Yeares or my Daughter Mary be not then Married as aforesaid
Then my Will and Meaning is that my Said Sons John Knott and Henry Knott Shall pay unto my
aforesaid Children William Knott Daniel Knott and Mary Knott to each of them their Respective
Legacies of Ten pounds a piece at Such times as they Shall Severally arrive to the age of
one and Twenty Years or at my Daughter Mary’s day of Marriage which Shall first happen
And for the true and faithful payment of the said Several Legacies aforesd. I bind my Messuage or Tenemt. Lands and p'misses
hereafter menconed
Item I give and devise unto my said Wife Elizabeth for and during the time and Terme of her Natural Life All that my Messuage, Tenement, Barne, Stable, Outhouses, Ediffices, Buildings, Yards, Gardens, Orchards and Eight Acres of Arable Land more or Less Scituate lying and being in the aforesaid Parish of Goodnestone, at a Certain place there called Upinton And now or late In the Tenure or Occupacon of Giles Lawrence or of his Assigns And all other Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever within the Realme of Great Britain which I now have or Shall have at the time of my Decease, which Said Messuage or Tenement and p’misses are to be from time to time and at all times during the natural life of my Said Wife Elizabeth by her my Said Wife when and Soe often as need Shall Require Repaired maintained and kept
And if it Shall happen that my Said Wife Elizabeth Shall Survive and overlive me the Said Henry Knott and Shall at any time after my Decease begin account of a Decent Maintenance during the time of her Natural Life, In Such a Case I give and Devise unto my Said Wife Elizabeth all that my Messuage or Tenement Land & p'misses before menconed to be Scituate lying and being In the Said parish of Goodnestone at a Place called Upinton To be by her Pauwned or Mortgaged at any time or times after my Decease So much Monies as Shall Supply her for a Decent Maintenance as aforesaid and for no more and not otherwise
And from and after the Decease of my said Wife Elizabeth Then I doe give and Devise the said Messuage or Tenement, Lands and p’misses with all and Singuler thappurtenecs [the appurtenances] whatsoever And all other Lands and p’misses as aforesaid unto my sd. Sons John Knott and Henry Knott their Heirs and Assigns to be by them Sold and disposed of (In Some Convenient Time not exceeding Five Years after the Decease of my said Wife Elizabeth) to the best & utmost profit they the said John Knott and Henry Knott their Heirs and Assigns may or can
And the Monies Arising and Cleering from the Sale thereof with the Sume of the Inventory of the Goods Chattells and personal Estate herein before bequeathed unto my now Wife Elizabeth (which She If The overlive me the said Henry) Shall or may bequeath unto all or any of my Said Children by her Last Will and Testament or otherwise, that Shall be then Remaining at the Time of her Decease Shall be taken and Apprized within Twelve Moneths next after under the hands of two Credible Appraisers
And also the Sume of what money I have disbursed Towards the preferment or better maintenance of any of my Children In this World As by a Schedule of Particulars hereunto Annexed, doth and may more fully and at Large appear All which Several and Respective Sumes of money before menconed (being Added Into one Sume, My Will and meaning Is that the aforesaid Legacies if Ten pounds a piece herein before bequeathed unto each of my said Children Meaning is that my Said Sons John Knott and Henry Knott Shall pay unto my aforesaid Children William Knott Daniel Knott and Mary Knott Shall be first paid and Discharged out of it, And the Remainder thereof Shall be equally Divided Share and Share alike betwixt my Children John Knott Henry Knott Richard Knott Thomas Knott William Knott Daniel Knott Elizabeth Austen and Mary Knott
And what I have already paid for any of my Children as aforesaid, And what my said Wife Elizabeth Shall or may bequeath unto all or any of my said Children by her last Will and Testament or otherwise that Shall be then Remaining at the time of her Decease Shall be In part If not amounting to any of their Shares of payment of his her or their Share or Shares before Bequeathed, which Said Several and Respective Shares and parts (or any part of them or other of them) Yet unpaid my Will and meaning Is Shall be paid unto each of them my Said Children Respectively by my aforesaid Sons John Knott and Henry Knott, within Two Moneths next after the Sale of my aforesaid Messuages or Tenement Lands and prmises
And my Will and meaning further Is that the Rents Issues and Profits proceeding and arising from my Said Messuage or Tenement Lands and prmises from and after the Decease of my Said Wife Elizabeth untill Such Sale be made as aforesaid Shall be equally Divided by my said Sons John Knott and Henry Knott Betwixt my said Children John Knott Henry Knott Richard Knott Thomas Knott William Knott Daniel Knott Elizabeth Austen and Mary Knott

written on One Side in my hand and Seale at the Bottom of each Sheet threof have sett and putt Dated the Day and Yeare first above
