First whereas there is just due and owing to me from my Son Thomas Knowlden the Younger of Ivychurch the sum of One hundred pounds and great Arrears of Interest for the same And Also of an Annuity given to my late wife and I have commenced a Law Suit and intend filling a Bill in Equity against my said Son for the Recovery thereof
Now I do hereby give devise and bequeath All and every my Messuages Lands Tenements and Herreditaments and all my Money due and owing to me from my said Son or any one else And all my Goods and Chattels and all other my real and personal Estate unto my Friend Mr John Buscoe now of Pluckley in the said County of Kent Gentleman his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns In Trust that he or they do sell the same and with the Money thereby arising carry on the said Suit in Law and Equity against my said Son for the Recovery of the said Money and Damages that may happen or be occasioned by the said Suits or either of them And after payment thereof I give and dispose of the overplus of the Money which shall be in his hands arising from the said promises unto Mary the wife of Richard Burdon of Tenterden in the County of Kent Labourer to be paid to her at such times and in such manner as the said John Buscoe shall think will be most for her Benefit
And I do hereby Nominate constitute and appoint the said John Buscoe sole
Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said
Thomas Knowlden have hereunto set my hand and Seal the first day of July one
thousand seven hundred and Sixty eight ----- Thomas Knowlden Signed Sealed
published and declared by the Testator as and for his last Will and
Testament in the presence of us Who have hereunto subscribed out Names
William Jones, Richard Acres, Keziah Groom.
