In the name of God Amen the xxvjth [26th] day of March in the xxixth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God of Englande Fraunce and Irelande Queene, defender of the faith Anno dini 1587
I Richard Lake of Bredgar in the Countie of Kent beinge in whole mynde and in good and parfect remembrannce (thankes be unto almightie God) doe ordaine and make this my last will and testamente in manner and forme followinge (That is to saye)

Fyrst I will and bequethe unto Alice my daughter my ..eynied? bedstedle when she cometh to the age of xxij yeares
Item I will unto Catherine my daughter my joyned Cupborde when she cometh to the age of xxij yeares

Item I will & bequethe unto Susan my wyfe all the resydue of my goodes, Cattle and houshoulde whatsoever
Item also I will and bequethe unto Susan my wyfe my house, barne, stable and lande which I have in the parishe of Bredgar untill such time as my youngest childe comethe to the age of xxij yeares, keepinge the reparacons during the said time

And also I doe ordaine and make Susan my wyfe my sole executrix of this my last will and testamente
