In the Name of God Amen
I Joyce Lane the Elder of Horton Kirby in the County of Kent Widow being in good health and of a sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised be God for the same) do make Publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in Writing in manner and form following (that is to say)
First and most Principally I do with all Humility resign my poor and immortall Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the Merits Death and Passion of my dear Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ to have and receive full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit Eternall life in the Kingdom of Glory And my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named And as for such worldly Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God of his bounteous goodness to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof in manner following (that is to say)

First I Will that all such just debts which I shall owe at the time of my decease my funerall Expences and the charge of proving this my Will be fully paid and discharged out of my Personall Estate by my Executrix herein after named

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Muggeridge Wife of Richard Muggeridge of Earith [Erith] in the said County of Kent Yeoman for and during the Term of her naturall life One Moiety or half part of all my Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever lying and being in the County of Kent or elsewhere in the Kingdom of Great Britain
And from and after her decease Then I do give devise and bequeath the same unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Muggeridge the daughter of my said daughter Elizabeth Muggeridge and to the Heirs of the body of my said Granddaughter lawfully to be begotten

And for want of such Issue Then I do give devise and bequeath the same unto the heirs of the body of my said daughter Elizabeth Muggeridge lawfully begotten or to be begotten And for want of such Issue then I do give devise and bequeath the same Moiety unto my daughter Joyce Lane her heirs and assigns for ever

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Joyce Lane her heirs & assigns the other Moiety or half part of all my said Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever lying and being in the County of Kent or elsewhere in the Kingdom of Great Britain To hold to her my said daughter Joyce Lane her Heirs and Assigns for ever
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Joyce Lane the Sume of Two hundred pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain

Also I give devise and bequeath unto Mary Tasker the daughter of John Tasker of Dartford in the said County of Kent Gentleman the Sum of Thirty one pounds and Ten shillings of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid into the hands of the said John Tasker her Father for her use by my Executrix herein after named within three months after my decease out of my personall Estate
And I will and direct that the Receipt of the said John Tasker shall be a sufficient discharge to my said Executrix for the same

Also I give and bequeath unto Margaret Pope daughter of William Pope the Elder of Horton Kirby aforesaid the Sum of Ten pounds to be paid unto her by my Executrix within three months after my decease out of my Personal Estate

All the rest, residue and remainder of my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature, kind or quality soever not herein before by me bequeathed or given I give devise and bequeath into my said two daughters Elizabeth Muggeridge and Joyce Lane and to their Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever equally to be divided between them share and share alike

And Lastly I do hereby make nominate and appoint my said daughter Joyce Lane sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former Wills by me by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Joyce Lane the Testatrix have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper to each of Sheet sett my hand to the last have affixed my Seal this Twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Thirty seven

This Will was Proved at London On the Twenty third day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Thirty seven before the Worshipfull Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth, Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Joyce Lane Spinster the daughter of the deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will To whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deced. she being first Sworn well and duly to administer the same
