In the Name of God Amen In the tenth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord William the third, King of England &c. and on the six and twentieth day of May 1698
I Tho: Langworthy being Weak of Body Butt in perfect Sense and Sound Memory, praised be God for the Same, doe make and Declare this to be my last Will & testament in maner and forme follinying [following] - That is to say
First I Recomend my Soul to God my Creator, trusting through the Merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to Receive forgivness of my Sins, my Body to be decently Interrd By (my) Executes. [Executors] hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath to my Loveing Wife Trephosa Langworthy all my Goods, Chattles, debts, Creditts, monyes, Stock and crop on the Land now in my occupation, or whatever I may or can have any Claim unto, I give unto my said wife to her Sole & proper uses for Ever

Item I give and Bequeath to each of my Sons Richard, Hugh & Thomas one shilling to be paid them a twelve months after my decease if demanded

And for the Better Execution of this my Last will and testament, (I) do make and appoint my trusty friends Willam Philpott & Wm. Conning? Joynt Executors with my said wife not doub[t]ing of their true performance according to the Intent and meaning of this my will &c.

Probatum fuit: 7th February 1698/99

Note: Thomas was baptised 2nd May 1630, s. of Hugh Langworthie at St. Augustine, Northbourne, Kent (less than 2 miles from Shoulden).
