This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Langridge of Edenbridge in the County of Kent Yeoman
I will order and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be paid by my Executor hereinafter named

I give and bequeath to Thomas Langridge of Edenbridge aforesaid Collar Maker the sum of Three hundred pounds Sterling upon Trust that he the said Thomas Langridge his Exors and Admors shall at his and their own discretion and as he and they may think most advisable lay out and invest the said sum and apply the same towards the maintaining educating apprenticing and bringing up of William Saxby the Infant Son of Wiliam Saxby of Edenbridge aforesaid Schoolmaster by Mary his late Wife deceased

And upon further Trust that he the said Thomas his Exors and Admors do and shall on the said William Saxby attaining twenty one years pay over to him for his absolute use and benefit all such and so much of the said sum of Three hundred pounds as shall not have been expended for the purposes aforesaid

and in the event of the said William Saxby the Younger dying under the age of twenty one years I give and bequeath the said sum of Three hundred pounds or so much thereof as shall not have been expended as aforesaid unto the said Thomas Langridge his Exors and Admors absolutely

I give and bequeath unto each of my three Nephews George Langridge of Edenbridge aforesaid Butcher Edward Langridge of the same place Labourer and the said Thomas Langridge the sum of Forty pounds each sterling
I give and bequeath unto Robert Langridge Jane Langridge and Nancy Wells son and daughters of my said Nephew Edward Langridge the sum of Forty pounds each sterling
I give and bequeath unto William Langridge Son of my said Nephew George Langridge the sum of Forty pounds sterling
and unto George Langridge of Edenbridge aforesaid Tanner the sum of Thirty Pounds Sterling
and Elizabeth Langridge Widow of George Langridge late of Edenbridge aforesaid Labourer deceased the Sum of Twenty Pounds sterling
and unto my Nephew George Denman of Edenbridge aforesaid the Sum of Ten Pounds sterling
and I desire all the above Legacies may be paid to the said Legatees within three Monhs after my decease

And as to all other my Estate Real And Personal of whatever it consist & wheresoever situate I give devise and bequeath unto my said Nephew Thomas Langridge his heirs exors admors and assigns according to the nature and qualities thereof and appoint the said Thomas Langridge sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand and seal this Seventh day of June One thousand eight hundred and thirty eight The mark and seal of X Thomas Langridge
