In the name of God Amen The fowerteenth daye of Aprill in the yere of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred fiftie eight
I Thomas Lashfield of the Citty of Canterbury gardner being sicke in body but of good and perfect remembrance Thankes be to god doe make here my last will and testament following First I commend my soule to the Almighty god etc.

Item I will and bequeath to my wife Joane Lashfield All those moveable goods bills and bonds which she was possessed of before shee was my wife
Item I give unto my wife Joane Lashfield after my decease the somme of fortie shillings to be paid unto her three monthes after my death (by) Daniell Giles Garner whome I doe make my executor

Item my will is that my executor Daniell Giles shall sell all my goods that remaine in my house in the Parish of Thanington and to make money of my Flax in both the barnes And all the flax which I have lately sowen in the parish of Thanington, Northgate and Patricks barne towards the payment of my debts and my Funerall Charges

And what remaynes I bequeath to my two children John Lashfield and Mary Lashfield equally to be devided betwixt them by Daniell Giles whome I make sole Executor of this my last will and testament
