In the Name of God Amen I Giles Lawrence of the parish of Goodnestone next Wingham in the County of Kent Yeoman being aged and infirm in Body but of sound and disposing Mind and Memory and Understanding God be praised for the same Do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
First and principally I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator begging pardon for all my Sins and hoping to obtain everlasting Salvation through the Merits Death and suffering of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named
And as to such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me I give and dispose thereof as followeth

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine Lawrance the Sum of thirty eight pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son in Law John Wills and Susannah his wife and unto each of them the Sum of eleven pounds of like lawful Money of Great Britain
Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Hills the eldest Daughter of the said John Hills the Sum of ten pounds of like lawful Money
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Giles Lawrence the Sum of twenty pounds of like lawful Money
I also give to John Lawrence Son of the said Giles Lawrence the Sum of ten pounds of like lawful Money to put himself out Apprentice to such Trade as he shall like best

Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughters Mary Lawrence and Elizabeth Glenin and unto each of them the Sum of thirty pounds of like lawful Money
Item I give and bequeath unto my Sons John Lawrence and Thomas Lawrence and unto each of them the like Sum of thirty pounds of like lawful Money
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Job Lawrence the Sum of twenty eight pounds of like lawful Money
Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Thomas Church the Sum of one Pound for a Ring
Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Thomas Harvey the like Sum of one Pound for a Ring

Item I do hereby order and direct that the several Legacies hereinbefore given be paid unto the said Legatees herein before named severally and respectively within six Months next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Catherine Lawrence all my Household Goods Linnen and Household Furniture and also all other my Personal Estate whatsoever after my Debts Legacies and Funeral Expences are paid and discharged to and for her own use and benefit

And I do hereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said Daughter Catherine Lawrence sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
And Lastly I do hereby revoke frustrate and make void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do make publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament in two Sheets of paper contained to the first Sheet set my Hand and to this last Sheet my Hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of October in the fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five _ the Mark of Giles Lawrence
