In the name of God Amen I William Leedes of the parish of St.George in the City of Canterbury plumber being sick of body but in good and perfect remembrance praise be given unto God therefore do make my last will and testament in manner and form following
First I bequeath my soul and body in the hands of the Almighty God and my creator; trusting by the death and passion of our Saviour Jesus Christ to have remission and forgiveness of any sin and to be partaker of his heavenly Kingdom and my body to be buried in the churchyard of St.Georges aforesaid.

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my wife and to her heirs forever my house and tenement wherein I now dwell with all the houses stables gardens yards backside and other appurtanances whatsoever to the said messuage and tenement in any wise belonging and appertaining.

Item I give and bequeath unto the said Elizabeth my wife all and singular my goods and chattels of what kind nature or quality soever the same be and lastly I do make and ordain the Said Elizabeth my wife my sole executrix of this my last will and testament

in witness whereof I the said William Leedes have hereunto set my hand and arrayed my seal this eight and twentieth day of March 1600 and in the four and fortieth year of the reign of our sovereign lady Elizabeth by grace of God of England France and Ireland Queen defender of the faith etc and in the presence of those whose names are subscribed.
