This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Lesser of Preston next Faversham in the County of Kent Officer in the Service of His Majestys Customs made the Twenty seventh Day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and six

First I give devise and bequeath All and every my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever with their and every of their Appurtenances Situate lying and being in Queenborough in the Isle of Sheppy and Ore [Oare] in the said County or elsewhere unto and to the use of Frederick Wilks of Preston next Faversham aforesaid Gentleman Isaac Wildash of Davington in the said County Gentleman and Thomas Tassel Stanley of Davington aforesaid Gentleman their Heirs and Assigns

Upon trust that they the said Trustees or the Survivors or Survivor of them or the Heirs or Assigns of such Survivor do and shall as soon after my Decease as they shall think expedient sell and dispose of and re-convey the said Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments either together or in parcels and either by Public Auction or Sale or Private Contract to any person or persons and his her or their Heirs and Assigns respectively for the best price or prices as to them or him shall seem reasonable and do and shall stand and be possessed of and interested in the Money arising from the said Sale or Sales upon the Trusts hereinafter mentioned

Also I give and bequeath all and every my Goods Chattels and Household Furniture Plate China and Linen Ready Money Money in the Public Stocks or Funds or in Private Securities or due to me from the Honorable Board of Customs or from any other persons whomsoever and all other my personal other my Personal Estate and Effects of every Sort and Kind whatsoever and wheresoever that shall remain and be left after payment of all my just Debts Funeral Charges the Costs of Proving this my Will and other incidental Expences And Subject thereunto the said Frederick Wilks Isaac Wildash and Thomas Tassell Stanley their Exors. and Admors. or Assigns

Upon trust that they my said Trustees or the Survivors or Survivor of them or the Exors. Admors. or Assigns of such Survivor do and shall immediately after my decease or as soon after as after as they shall deem expedient and most beneficial for my Children sell dispose of and convert into Money such part of my said Personal Estate as shall not consist of Money or Government or other good Securities and call receive and get in all Money which shall be then due and owing to me And do and shall stand and be possessed of and interested in the Money into which the same shall be so converted or so to be received got in and of and in such part of the said Residuum of my Personal Estate as shall consist of Money and Government of other good Securities Upon the Trusts hereinafter mentioned (that is to say)

My Will is and I do hereby direct that the said Frederick Wilks Isaac Wildash and Thomas Tassell Stanley their Heirs Exors. Admors. and Assigns shall stand and be possessed of and interested in all the Money to arise from the Sale or Sales by me hereinbefore directed to be made of my Real Estates or to arise or to be produced from that part of my Real Estate so directed to be sold or got in and converted into Money and of and in the Money Government or other Securities and all other the Residuum of my Personal Estate

Upon Trust that they my said Trustees and the Survivors and Survivor of them and the Heirs Exors. Admors. or Assigns of such Survivor do and shall lay out and invest in their or his Names or Name such part thereof as shall not consist of Government or good Securities in the purchase of a Share or Shares of the Parliamentary Stocks or public Funds of Great Britain or at Interest upon Government or Real Securities in England & do and shall from Time to Time at their or his Discretion alter and vary such Stocks Funds and Securities And also the Government or other Securities in which any part of my said Personal Estate shall be invested at the Time of my Decease and do and shall receive the yearly Dividends Interest and Produce of the said Trust Monies Stocks Funds and Securities as the same shall become due and pay the same in such parts shares and proportions as they in their discretion shall think fit and proper for and towards the Maintenance Education and bringing up of my three Daughters Dinah Lesser Jane Lesser and Charlotte Lesser until the Youngest of them shall attain the age of Twenty one Years

And when and so soon as the youngest of them my said Daughters shall attain the age of Twenty one Years do and shall pay assign and transfer the whole of the said Trust Monies Stock Funds and Securities unto and equally between them my said Daughters or if any one or more of them shall be then dead then unto the Survivors or Survivor of them and so soon as such youngest surviving Child shall attain the Age one Twenty one Years but if either or any of my said Daughters so dying shall leave any lawful Issue of her Body as surviving then such Issue to have and be paid such Share of my said Personal Estate as his her or their Mother or Mothers would as aforesaid if living have been entitled to

Also I declare my Will to be that the Receipt of the said Frederick Wilks Isaac Wildash and Thomas Tassell Stanley or the Survivors or Survivor of them or the Heirs Exors. Admors. and Assigns of such Survivor for any Sum or Sums of Money payable to them or him respectively for the Purchase of my Estates or any part thereof or otherwise under or by virtue of the Trusts of this my Will shall be good and Effectual Releases for the money therein mentioned to be received and shall to all Intents and Purposes discharge the person paying the same from seeing to the application thereof

Also I constitute and appoint the said Frederick Wilks Isaac Wildash and Thomas Tassell Stanley Executors of this my Will and Guardians of my Children during their respective Minorities hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me made and declaring this only to be my last

And lastly I do hereby declare that they my said Trustees and Exors. shall not be answerable the one of them for the other of them or for the involuntary Losses and that it shall be lawful for them to reimburse themselves all Losses Costs Charges and Expences which they or either of them may be put unto or Sustain for or by reason of this my Will or the Trusts hereby in them reposed.

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Lesser have to this my last Will and Testament contained in three pages of paper set my Name at the bottom of the first two pages thereof and to the third and last page thereof my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year first above written

This Will was Proved at London on the Twenty first day of June in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Six before the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Isaac Wildash one of the Executors named in the said Will to whom admon. [administration] was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to Administer. Power reserved of making the like Grant to Frederick Wilks and Thomas Tassell Stanley the other Exors. named in the said Will when tor either of them shall apply for the same.
