Item I will and give to my two sonnes Thomas Litherer and Robert Litherer to eyther of them one Cowe to be given to them within three monethes
after my decease
Item I give and bequethe to my sonnes Thomas and Robert Litherer aforesaid foure q[uar]ters of seede wheate and sixe quarters of seede
barlie equally to be devided betweene them to be delivered within one monethe after my decease
Item I give to Thomas Litherer my eldest sonne the longe framed table in the hall withe the longe settle
or beinge thereunto belonginge after the decease of Ellen my wife
Item I give to Emlyn Attur, Elizabeth Bennett and Agnes Baylie my maidens to ether of them an ewe when they come to the age of xviij yeres
Item I give to Mary Litherer, Emmiyn Litherer and Alice Litherer my daughters tenne poundes a peece which I will shalbe payde unto them by
Thomas and Robert Litherer my sonnes out of the profitts of my landes which I have given and willed to them as heare after appeareth, that is to say,
To Mary Litherer my daughter her tenne poundes within one yeare after my decease; to Emmiyn Litherer my daughter tenne poundes within two yeares
after my decease and to Alice Litherer my youngest daughter her tenne poundes within three yeares after my decease
And if it happen anie of my said daughters to dy before the said money be due unto them and without issue of there bodies
laufully begotten, then I will that one shalbe an others heire
Item I will further to my sayde daughters to either of them five poundes more to be payde by Ellen my wyfe in manner and forme as is abovesaid
Item I will & bequethe to the poore people of the parishe of Sainte Lawrence aforesayde tenne shillinges to be payde unto them wthin one monethe after my decease
Touchinge all my landes tenementes and hereditamentes (wch I have within the countie of Kent or ells where), this is the last will and testamente of me Thomas Litherer afresayde
Firste my will and minde is that Ellen my wyfe shall have my hall house and the use of half my other housinge where I now dwell with the profitts of one half of all my landes lieinge in the pishe of Sainte Lawrence aforesayde duringe her naturall life And the other half of all my housinge and also of my landes my will is that my sonnes Thomas and Robert shall have ymmediately after my decease, payenge the bequethes unto there sisters as is aforesaid equally betweene them
Item I give to Thomas Litherer my eldest sonne my hall house with one little garden adjoyninge to the
Easteside of the saide hall, with a pathe way to and from the streete as it is now used, the kytchen malte
house and well house and the little backside of the kytchen with an other little house adjoyninge to the
south ende of the hall and the greate barne with the place the grovett of trees and the greate Orchard
adjoyninge, And xij acres of arable lande, with a little woode, and one parcell of grounde called the
Northe garden conteyninge be estimation in the whole thireteene acres more or lesse, and boundinge
uppon Sprytinge Streete and the lands of Sir Roger Manwoode knight towards the south
And all my landes lienge at Fredwoode conteyninge by estimation xiij acres more or lesse And one
other peece of arable land conteyninge by estimation five acres with one little haslett or woode thereunto
adiyninge and boundinge uppon the highway neere Pouldashe towardes the southe to him and to his
heires for ever after the decease of Ellen my wife
Item I give unto Robert Litherer my youngest sonne all my housinge next to the streete on the Eastsyde
of the hall with a little garden roome with a seller [cellar] and two Ridgebones adjoyning to the same
houses, the little barne, the stable, the stable house and the place thereunto adjoyninge one little orchard
called the pygeon house garden, one p[ar]cell of grounde called the west garden and all
the landes lieing at the south ede of the house conteyninge three severall peecs whereof one
peece beinge enclosed with a hemeland and one little garden called the Puttis garden contayneth by estimation foure acres more or lesse,
And one other pcell thereof adjoyninge to the same close doth contayne by estimation tenne
acres, and the thirde pcell thereof lieth neere to a place there called Corne and contayneth by
estimation six acres, One other peece lienge neere Stannard Hill conteyninge three acres, one close
adjoyninge to the ende of the greate orchard conteyninge by estimation two acres, one other peece called
Seaven roddes lienge to the highway there northe and southe One other peece lienge at Elder Busshe
conteyninge by estimation one acre and a half and one little haslett lienge neere Spritinge Street
boundinge to the highway there towardes the northe and contayninge by estimation one rodd to him and
his heires foe ever after the decease of Ellin my wife
All the residue of my leases houshold stuffe & moveable goodes whatsoever before not bequethed all my debtes beinge paid and my legacies on her p[ar]te discharged, I give to Ellin my wife whome I doe make my whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament

Thomas Lytherer was buried at St. Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, on 24th April 1587.
Wife Ellyn was buried there on 6th May 1605.
Known children (all christened at St. Lawrence): Mary 14 Oct 1561; Emilyne 13 Mar 1563; Thomas 12 Nov 1564; Robert 3 Nov 1566; Alice 24 Oct 1568.
