I Peter Longley of Bennenden in the County of Kent Yeoman, this twenty fifth day of May in the fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne of England etc. Queen Anno Dini 1706. Being Sicke (of body) but of a sound and disposing mind and memory make this my last will and testament revoking all former and other will or wills by me made
First I humbly give up my Soul to Almighty God and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix and at to my Estate I dispose of it as followeth

I give to my daughter Mary the wife of Henry Iggleden of Bennenden aforesaid Yeoman the Sume of twenty shillings
and I give to my grandaughters Elizabeth and Mary Iggleden (Children of my said Daughter Mary) and to each of them the Sume of ten pound to be paid to them at their respective Ages of twenty one Years
And if one of them dye before the said appointed time of payment then I will the Survivor shall have the whole twenty pounds

I give devise and bequeath unto my Grandson Peter Iggleden and to his heirs for ever, all that my Messuage or Tenement one Shop and all other buildings and all the Marshland and Hereditaments thereunto belonging with their and every of their Appurtenances by Estimation twenty two Acres Situate lying and being in Ivechurch [Ivychurch] in Romney Marsh in the said County & now or late in the Occupation of Thomas Waterman Junr. Gent. and Henry Wilmanton their Assignee or Assignes

And I give and devise unto my Daughter Anne Longley and [her] Heirs all that my Lands and Hereditaments with their Appurtenances lying in Bennenden aforesaid and Rolvenden in the said County which I purchased of Edward Ampott [Impett?] and also all those Lands and Hereditaments with their Appurtenances in Bennenden aforesaid which I Purchased of Richard Grant Senr. and likewise all that Messuage or Tenement Barns Buildings Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their and every of their right members and Appurtenances Wherein I now live in Bennenden aforesaid, which I Purchased of one John Hoemg..?
And also all my Lands Woodland and Hereditaments in Bennenden aforesaid as also their Appurtenances which I Purchased of William Moyse deceased and all other my Messuages Lands and Hereditaments whatsoever not herein devised or by me formerly settled and disposed off with their and every of their Appurtenances to have and to hold all and Singular the said Messuages Lands Hereditaments and Premisses and all their rights profits members and Appurtenances whatsoever unto my said Daughter Anne Longley her Heirs and Assignes for ever Upon and subject to the directions and conditions herein by me made, willed and devised (that is to say)

My mind and will is and I expressly hereby order and direct that if my said daughter Anne Longley her Heirs or Assignes shall or do at any time after my decease Hinder Sue for or any ways disturb my said Daughter Mary Iggleden he Husband or Issue in the peaceable and quiet enjoyment if the Messuage Lands Tenements and Hereditaments that were my deceased Wifes Lands, and Settled on my said Daughter Mary and Her Children, upon marriage, or otherwise, that then and in such case and Immediately after any such Suit or disturbance my mind and will is and I do order and devise all the said Messuage Lands Hereditaments with their Appurtenances which I have hereinbefore given unto my said Daughter Anne Longley shall go and remain unto my said Daughter Mary Iggleden her Heirs and Assignes for ever
And the aforesaid [bleedthrough here]: devise to my said Daughter Anne I revoke [I am pretty sure is correct] I revoke annull and make void

And I also will and direct that if my said Daughter Mary Iggleden, her Husband, or her Heirs, shall sue for or disturb my said Daughter Anne or her Heires in the Peaceable and Quiet enjoyment of the Messuage Lands Hereditaments and Premises or any part of either of them hereby given and devised to my said Daughter Anne Longley, that then the said devise of the Messuage Lands and Hereditaments in Ivechurch aforesaid given to my said Grandson Peter Iggleden, shall be void and I revoke the same
and I hereby give and devise the said Ivechurch Lands and Premises to my said Daughter Anne and her Heirs;

and I make ordaine Constitute and appoint my said Daughter Anne Longley Sole Executrix of this my said Will and testament and give unto her all my goods Chattells and Personal Estate whatsoever (she) paying my debts legacies and Funeral Expences
