In the Name of God Amen I EDWARD LOOME of London Marriner being of good and perfect memorie and remembrance (I thanke the Allmightye God for the same) doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament this nyne and twentieth Daye of October Anno Dmi 1631 in the seaventh yeare of the Raigne of Our Soveraigne Lord Kinge Charles that nowe is over England Scotland France and Ireland and in manner and forme followinge (that is to say).

Firste and principallie I recommende my Soule to Allmightye God my Maker to Jesus Christe my Redeemer and to the Holy Ghoste my Sanctifier one Glorious God to be blessed forever trustinge assuredlye that throughe the precious blod of Jesus my Redeemer and his intercession for me I shalbe presented blamelesse unto God and saved from the wrathe to come.
And as touchinge my bodye I comytte the same to the Earthe from whence it came and to be buried in a convenient and decent manner and sorte in the Churche or Churcheyarde of St. James the Apostle in Dover at the discretion of my Executrix and Overseer hereafter herein named.

And of this my last Will and Testament I make and ordaine MARGARETT my lovinge Wife whole and sole Executrix.

Item I give and bequeathe unto the Poore people of the said Parishe of St. James the Apostle in Dover aforesaid fourtye shillings to be distributed amongst them by my said Executrix on the Daye of my Buriall at hir discretion.

Item I give and bequeathe unto MARYE LOOME my Daughter the sume of one hundred and fiftie poundes of lawfull money of England to be payde unto her by my said Executrix at hir age one and twentye yeares or Daye of Marriage which shall first and next happen to come to passe.

Item I give and bequeathe unto my loveinge Brother JOHN LOOME of the Towne and Porte of Dover aforesaid in the Countye of Kent fourtye poundes of like money of England to be payde unto him by my said Executrix within sixe monthes next after my decease. Tenn poundes of the sayd fourtye poundes I desire my sayd Brother to despose of to the use and behalfe of my sayd Daughter MARYE LOOME as my sayd Brother in his discretion shall thinke good and meete.

And if soe be that my sayd Daughter shall departe this lyfe before shee shall attaine at her said age of one and twentye yeares or be marryede then I will and bequeathe hir sayd porcon of one hundred and fiftie poundes unto my sayd Brother JOHN LOOME to be payde unto hym by my said Executrix within one yeare next after the decease of the sayd MARYE my Daughter.

All the Rest and Residue of my Goodes Chattells Moneye Shippinge and Rights whatsoever my Legacies Debts and Funerall Expenses payde and discharged I wholly give will and bequeath unto the sayd MARGARETT my Wife.
As soone as convenientlye shee can or maye after my decease doe sell all such partes of shippinge as I shall have at the tyme of my decease for the moste and best prices shee can or maye for and towardes payment and satisfienge of my Legacies and Charges aforesayde.

And I appoynte and ordaine my sayd Brother JOHN LOOME Overseer of this my last Will and Testament.
