In the name of god amen the vj day of Maye in the second yeare of the raigne of our moste soveraigne Ladye Elizabeth Quene of Yngland Fraunce and Irelande Defender of the faighte &c [1560]
I John Luck of the parishe of Charte with in the Cowntye of Kent husbandman sicke of bodye but of parfett memory Doe make and ordeyne this mye laste wyll in manner and forme folowinge
Firtse I bequethe mye soule to all mightye god, And my bodye to be buryed where or in what place it shall please god &c.

Also I give and bequethe to Willyam my sonne at the age of xxijti yeare fortye shillings of mye movables
Also I give to mye sonne Walter at the age of xxijti yeare fortye shillings of mye movables
Also I give to Nycholas mye sonne at the age of xxijti yeare fortye shillings of mye movables,
p[ro]vided if any of mye iij sonnes shall dye before the fore sayed age of xxijti yeares, Then every of them to be others heier

Also I give to mye Daughter Elsabeth at the age of twentye yeare fortye shillings of mye movables
Also I give to mye daughter Alice at the age of twentye yeare fortye shillings of mye movables
And if ether of them Dye before the sayed age of twentye yeare ether of them to be others heier

All the rest of mye movables not bequethed I give to mye wyffe Alice, whome I doe ordeyne and make mye whole executrix of this mye laste wyll and testament
Also I doe make and ordeyne the supvisors of this my wyll and testament Willyam Riche & Thomas Chamer

This ys the laste will & testament of me the fore sayed John Luck made the day and yeare above Sayed, as concerning mye Lands and Tenements

Firste I will mye wiffe Alice shall have & occupy and enjoye the Sayed Land wholye for the tyme & space of xxjti yeare after mye Decease,
And then I wyll mye sayed Landes to come to Stephin my Sonne and Thomas mye sonne, And to the heiers of there bodyes Lawfully begotton:
Provided all waye that nether mye sonne Stephin and Thomas my sonne shall sell any parte or parcel of mye sayed lande to eny parson or parsons, excepte the one to the other, And if ether of them dye with out heiers of there bodyes Lawfully begotton, or before the tyme of the fore sayed yeares of xxjti, Then I will ether of them to be others heier:

Also provided th't if the fore sayed Stephen mye sonne, And Thomas mye sonne shall Departe this present liffe with out heiers of there bodyes Lawfully begotton, Then I will mye hole lande to Wyllyam mye sonne, Nycholas mye sonne and Walter mye sonne, bye equall portyon to be devided,
Provided also that if mye fore sayed wiff Alice Dye before the tyme of the xxjti yeare, whiche she shall have in my landes, Then I will mye two Sonnes Stephen & Thomas ymmediatlye shall have my Landes acordinge to mye wyll

Itm I wyll that Stephen mye sonne and Thomas mye sonne shall pay or cause to be payed out of mye Landes at the ende of thre yeare nexte after there entre to there lande to Nicholas mye sonne vjli xiijs iiijd of good & lawfull monye of Yngland
Itm I wyll that Stephen & Thomas mye sonnes shall pay or cause to be payed out of mye Landes at the ende of vj yeare nexte after there entre to there lande to Wyllyam mye sonne vjli xiijs iiijd of good & lawfull monye of Yngland
Itm I wyll that Stephen mye sonne and Thomas mye sonne shall pay or cause to be payed out of mye Landes at the ende of nyne yeare after there entre to there lande to Walter mye sonne vjli xiijs iiijd of good & lawfull monye of Yngland,

Provided all waye that if mye iij sonnes Wyllyam Nicholas & Walter for Lacke of payment for the fore sayed Summes of monye due to them beinge Lawfullye asked at the daye afore wryten, That then it shalbe lawfull for them to streyne, and Drive aweye unto suche tyme, That they be lawfullye content and payed
