William Lye (alias) Cooke being very sick of Body but of sound and perfect memory doth make his Will by words of mouth the 6th day of Dec: 1670 before us Thomas Irons and Alex: Lucas in manner and form following

And first he nominats and appoynts Giles and John Lye als. Cooke two of his Brothers to be his Executors and they to bury him in Biddenden Church: Yeard

Next he gives unto his brother John Lye als. Cooke a Bond of ten pounds which he owes him, and he desires that he should have the sd. Bond delivered unto him immediately after his decease

And all the rest of his Estate whatsoever that remayns after his Debts are payd and all his Funerall expences are discharged he desires (and his Will is) that it shall be equally devided betwixt his Mother, and his Brothers & his Sisters.

This Nuncupative Will above written was published the day and yeare above written in the prsence of us
