In the Name of God Amen The second of October Anno dini 1621
I Edward Maitham of Great Chart in the County of Kent Yeoman, being of good and p[er]fect memory (God by praysed) Calling to mynd the incertainty and mutability of this miserable life doe make and ordayne this my last will and Testament in maner and forme following
First I Commend soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Savyour when it shall please him of his great goodnes and mercy to receive the same, And my body to be buryed at the discretion of my Executor

Item I give to the poore people of Great Chart iijs iiijd [3s 4d] to be distributed at the discretion of my Executor
Item I will and bequeath unto Katherine my welbeloved wife the use and profit of all my good(s) and Chattell(s) hereafter bequeathed (my debts payd) during her natural life

Item I give & bequeath unto Richard my sonne my bible, my long table and Cubbard in the hall, my long Chest and lether Chest and all the shelves, benches bord, lumber, tyles and other things belonging to my house or fit to repayre the same or the inclosure thereof
Item I give to Elizabeth his daughter my bedstedle in my hall Chamber with the bed, bouldster, pillowes, Coverlett and all other furniture their unto used

Item I gyve and bequeath unto Danyel my sonne five shillings, and until? Daniel his sonne my little Chest
Item I give unto Katheryne her? daughter my Cauldron
And all the Rest and Residue of my goods and Chattells I give and bequeath unto Katherine my wife (my debts, legacyes and funerall expences dischardged)

And I doe make Richard my sonne sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

By mee Edward Maitham made in his p[er]fect memory and sealed and declared in the presence of
Katherine his wife; Richard Maitham his sonne; Peter Benskin and other of his neighbours

Probatum fuit: 1st November 1622

Notes:
Edwarde Maytum, howsehoulder was buried 24 Oct 1622 at St. Mary, Great Chart, Kent.
Edward Maytom married Katherine Hordon 24 Oct 1574 at Great Chart.
Richard Maitham, son of Edmunde was baptised 1 May 1577 at Great Chart.
Daniel Maitham, s. of Edward was baptised there 13 Sep 1584.
