In the name of God Amen the two and twentieth day of July in the seventeenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the Second of England Scotland France and Ireland King Anno Domini one thousand six hundred sixty five I Henry Manwaring of Hunton alias Huntington in the County of Kent Broadweaver being very ill but of perfect mind and memory praised be God do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following first I recommend my soul into the hands of my maker and preserver trusting through the death and passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free remission of all my sins and my body I remit to the earth to be decently buried at the direction of my Executor hereinafter named

Item I give unto my eldest daughter Anne Catlet the sum of twenty shillings of lawful money of England to be paid within one month after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Manwaring the sum of thirty and two pounds of like money to be paid unto her at her day of marriage or age of twenty years if she live to attain to it
And in case she do not so long live and be not married then I bequeath her portion of thirty two pounds unto my daughter Anne Catlet to be paid to her by my executor
And my mind and will further is that my executor pay or cause to be paid from and immediately after my decease the sum of three pounds a year, half yearly to be paid to the aforesaid Elizabeth Manwaring over and above her said portion of thirty and two pounds every year until she attain the age of twenty years

And touching my household stuff and moveables (except ready money and money owing me) I give unto my son Richard Manwaring all my wearing apparel of all sorts, all my tools and instruments for work whatsoever one furnace and cauldron as they are now fixed in my dwelling house, one trough and cider press and appurtenances to the same belonging, the worst bedstead worst bed bolster and my chest being emptied

All the rest of my goods and chattels as household stuff brass iron pewter and other things belonging to me I give unto my two daughters Anne Catlet and Elizabeth Manwaring equally to be divided between them

And touching the disposing of all my lands and tenements that I have in Hunton or elsewhere I do devise will and bequeath the same unto my son Richard Manwaring and his heirs and assigns for ever whom I nominate and make Executor of this my last will and testament revoking all others In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written The mark of Henry Manwaring
