In the name of God Amen the Seavententh daye of August in the Nyne and thirteth yeare of the Reigne of o[u]r Sovreigne lady Quene Elizabeth etc.
I Ellice Marshall of Halden in the countie of Kent beinge sick in bodye but in good and perfect Remembrance (God be praysed therefore) doe make and ordeyne this my present Testament conteyninge therein my last Will in man[ne]r and forme followinge
First I comend my Soule into the hands of almightie God my everlastinge Savyor and Redeemer and my body to be buryed in the earth, where it shall please God

And I will unto my two daughters Thomasyn and Mary Marshall unto either of them one twelve monthinge heffar to be in the hands and Custody of Johane my Wyf to be kept and ordered to the use of my said daughters untyll they shalbe of theire sevrall ages of Eightene yeres

All the Reasydue of my goods, Corne and Cattells I gyve unto Joane my Wyffe whome I do ordeyne to be my sole Executrix of this my Will to see my Children brought upp in good order and also to paye my debts and other ordynary Chardgs

And I doe appoynt Will. Norton my brother to be my ov[e]rseer to be aydinge and helpinge unto my said Wyffe

In Witnes Whereof I have declared this my Will in the pr[e]sence of theis Wittnesses
