In the name of God Amen I Thomas Marshall of Brookland in the County of Kent, Yeoman doe revoke all other willes by me made whatsoever and doe make this to be my last will and testament on ye fifteenth day of Febr[u]ary in the yeare of o[u]r Lord God one thowsand six hundred fifty nine in manner and forme following
being sicke in body but of perfect memory (praised be God) I will and bequeath soule unto God that gave it mee and to Christ who redeemed it and my bodie to be buried in Christian burial

I give unto my daughter Margrit Moore two hundred pounds to be payd to her two yeares after my decease soe that her husband doe assure t[w]o hundred pounds molse? [more?] of his estate and purchase lands with the same and settle it to her and her heires lawfully begott[en] betweene them to in the same forme to be setled as the joynture was
And if her husband do refuse to doe soe, that then my Executor and Ov[e]rseers shall retaine the same two hundred pounds untill such time that shee shall have a child attaine to the age of one and twentie yeares, and then the said child shall have the t[w]o hundred pounds
And if that shee shall have more children than one then it shall be equally divided betweene them att the age aforesaid

I give unto my wife twentie pounds a year during her [nat]urall life issueing out of my land in Dimchurch, shee revoking her joynture, dowrie and widdow right
and the remainder of the yearlie rent arising out of my house and land in Dimchurch I give unto my daughter Margret Moore and to my brother William Marshall equally betweene them untill that my sonne shall attaine to the age of one and twentie yeares

I give unto my sonne Thomas Marshall all my houses and lands in Brookland Warren or elsewhere unbequeathed and to his heires That allso at dymchurch, the one moyetie at the age aforesaid and the other moyety [after my wifes decease

I give unto John Burwash tenne poundes a yeare out of my landes untill that my sonne Thomas shall attaine to the age aforesaid, and then five pounds a yeare during his naturall life
I give unto my nephew John Marshall a ship=carpenter five pounds twelve month after my decease of hee demand it
I give unto Frances Plimnar? the elder five pounds a yeare during his naturall life
I give unto Richard Wood, my Son in law fourScore pounds in lieu of his porcon, to be paid to him w[i]thin three moneths after my decease

Touching my personall estate my will is that it shall be sold within one yeare after my decease as well as Executor and overSeers can doe it w[hi]ch are heereafter named, and payment of all my debts and legacies to be made as speedily as may be and the overplus I give unto my Sonn Thomas at the age aforesaid
my minde is that my wife shall have the use of all my houshold stuffe dureing her life and then it to be devided betweene my Sonn Thomas and my daughter Margret

my will is that my brother Richard Bele shall have the tuicon [tuition] of my sonn Thomas Marshall untill hee attaine to the age aforesaid if that Richard Bele soe long live or else Thomas Bele shall have the tuicon of him
And I allow my said son Thomas twentie pounds a yeare to mainteyne him in educacon and bringing up unto the age aforesaid and the remainder to be accounted for

my meaning is that if my sonne Thomas Marshall depart this life and leave noe heire of his bodie lawfully begott, that then I give unto my daughter Margret Moore fower Score pounds a yeare
And I give unto my sonne in law Richard Wood tenne pounds a yeare and to his heires for ever
And I give unto my Brother William Marshall ten pounds a yeare and to his heires for ever
And I give unto John Burwash ten pounds a yeare and to his heires for ever

And my will is that my Executors shall give bond to my Overseers wthin three monthes after my decease of and concerning the true payments of all such moneys and goods as shall come into his hands by this Executorship, My will is that John Burwash shall have the keeping of all my writings of all my houses and lands untill my son come to age as aforesaid

My minde is that my wife shall have a competent living untill she have joynt due and shee shall have t[w]o oures? and one seame of wheat and a seame of malt to carry with her for her uses
Lastly My will is that their shall be noe woods cutt untill my son come to age nor timber without my ovrseers consent
I give more unto my brother William Marshall five pounds a yeare out of my lands over and above the foresaid legacy during his naturall life

And I make my loving brother Richard Bele my whole Executor of this my last will and testament
and Thomas Bele and John Burwash to be ov[e]rseers to aide and assist my Executor in what they can for the good of my children
: the words “untill my sonne come to age as aforesaid” were interlined before the sealing

And if that my sonne and daughter dy and leave noe heires that then I give fortie pounds a yeare unto my brothers William Marshalls children
& upon my Executors giving up of his account them I allowe him fortie pounds out of the estate
