In the Name of God Amen
I Catherine Marshall of the Parish of Charing in the County of Kent Widow being of sound mind tho’ infirm in body do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
First I resign my Soul into the hands of my Maker hoping and trusting for Redemption through the Merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ My Body I commit to the Earth (to be) privately buried As to my Worldly property I dispose of the same as follows

All my Real Estate whatsoever I devise unto my dear Son Joshua Marshall and his Heirs forever My Son Edmund being already well provided for

Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Epps in case she shall be in my Service at the time of my decease the Sum of ten pounds to be paid her within three months after my death

Also my Wearing apparel and the Residue of my personal Estate I give to my said Son Joshua and appoint him sole Executor of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of December One thousand seven hundred seventy four

This Will was proved at London the nineteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy eight before the Right Worshipful Sir George Hay, Knight, Doctor of Laws, Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Joshua Marshall the Son of the deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will to whom Admon. was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer.
