In the name of god amen I Thomas Matson beinge sicke and crased in body but in perfect mynde and memory Do nowe make this my last will and Testamente wherein I give and bequeath my body to the seas or where it shall please God and my sowle to the Lord Jesus who hath redeemed yt As for the smale portion of worldly goodes

First I give and bequeathe to my sister Susan Matson Forty pounds of good and lawfull money of England she to receyve the same at the age of one and Twenty yeares or other Daye of marryage yf she marry before that age yf not that then at the age of one and Twenty she shall receyve yt

And here I make Thomas Hurlston of Sandwich which was with me at my departure and William Nookes my Executors to see this my will performed

And that they will deliver this Fortie pounds to Mr Edward Peake of Sandwich that he shoulde be a Father to the poore maid put in bonde to the said Thomas Hurlston and William Nokes for the performance of the same And he the said Mr Peake to kepe the said mayde my sister either her marriage or till the age aforesaid and then she is to receyve yt meane while Mr Peake is to use it at his pleasure

Also halfe the howse which is betwene my uncle Nicholas Matson and I That also Do I give to my sister And master Peake to dispose of it in her behalf at the day and tyme when she is to receive the Somme aforesaid

And Thomas Hurlston and William Nokes shall on my behalf pay to Elizabeth Stace the wife of John Stace Forty shillings and then the howse is there the halfe of yt myne whome here I have disposed

And here also I do give and bequeath to Thomas Hurlston and William Nokes my Executors all Such Shares and Duties as is to come to me for this voyage towards theire paines taking to see this my will pformed
To Thomas Hurlston I give all my sea clothes
And to William Nokes I give a Dublet clothe which he is to have of Marmaduke Logen at his comminge to London
Also I do give and bequeathe to my uncle Nicholas Matson yf he be lyvinge or yf he be disceased then I give it to younge Stace a paire of faire violett breeches a fifchin(?) Dublett a cloake and a hatt which are at Lymhowse at the howse of John Estwich at Lymehowse

Now if it please God that my sister Suzan be Dead or Doe die before she come to receyve the money that then I give to William Greene the Sonne of Richard Greene Twenty poundes
And to John Saire the sonne of Henry Saire Twenty poundes or the longer lyver of them to enjoy it all the age of one and Twenty yeares
Also the howse I give to my Aunte Jane Pett the wife of Richard Pett and to her heires yf my Sister be Dead or Do Die as aforesaid mentioned

Thus myne expected frind Mr Peake the which I hope will not refuse for good cause I Do admitt to have the Disposinge of all these goods whatsoever Provided he Do put in bond to Thomas Hurlston and William Nookes for theire Discharge of a good conscience

And hereunto I have sett my hand and seale this present first day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thowsand fyve hundred nynety and one Thomas Matson Testator
Sealed and Delyvered in the presence of me William Foster by me William Nookes Thomas Hurlstone Richard Ide

Proved at London 5 November 1591 to Thomas Hurlston power reserved to William Nokes
