In the Name of God Amen I LUCY MATSON of Dover in the County of Kent Widow being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory (praised be God for the same) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following vizt.
First I commend my Soul to Almighty God begging forgiveness for all my sins and hoping to obtain everlasting life through the only merits and mediation of our blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ.
And my body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named.
And as to such worldly Estate it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows vizt.

First I give and bequeath unto my Executor herein after named all my Capital Stock of three hundred and twenty eight pounds more or less which arose from the sale of the Estate of my late Husband YOUNG VEEL deceased at Capel le Ferne in the said County In Trust to pay the Interest Profits and Proceeds unto my Daughter by my said late husband ELIZABETH now the Wife of EDWARD HALL Gentleman for and during her natural life and to and for her own separate and distinct use and benefit not withstanding her Coverture.
And so as the said EDWARD HALL her husband shall not intermeddle nor have any power over the same but the Receipt of the said ELIZABETH HALL alone from time to time shall be a sufficient discharge for the same and every part thereof and so as the same shall not at anytime be subject or liable in Law or Equity to the Control Debts or Engagements of the said EDWARD HALL her Husband.

And after the decease of the said ELIZABETH HALL I do give and bequeath all the said Principal Stock together with all such Interest or Dividends as then shall be due for the same unto my Grand Daughter LUCY HALL Daughter of the said EDWARD and ELIZABETH HALL her Executors Administrators and Assigns.

Also all the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of all my just Debts and Funeral Expenses I do give and bequeath unto my Daughter SUSANNA MATSON her Executors Administrators and Assigns.

And hereby revoking all former Wills and other Wills by me at anytime heretofore made I do publish and declare this and none other to be my last Will and Testament and thereof I do constitute and appoint my Brother the Revd. Dr. HENRY DAVIS full and sole Executor.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the 21st Day of July in the third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God King of Gt. Britain etc and in the year of Our Lord 1763. LUCY MATSON

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto
