In the Name of God Amen I ROBERT MATSON of the Parish of Ringwould in the County of Kent Victualler being sick and weak in body but being of sound Mind Memory and Understanding and considering the uncertainty of this Life do this sixth Day of July in the year of Our Lord 1768 make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say).

First I give and devise all and singular my freehold messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments and all and singular my part Shares Right Title and Interest of in and to any freehold messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever unto my loving Wife JANE MATSON and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural Life if she shall so long remain my Widow and unmarried.

And from and immediately after the decease or marriage of my said Wife JANE MATSON I give and devise the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my six children HANNAH MATSON JANE MATSON ANN MATSON MARY MATSON WILLIAM MATSON and ROBERT MATSON equally to be divided between them the said HANNAH MATSON JANE MATSON ANN MATSON MARY MATSON WILLIAM MATSON and ROBERT MATSON my children share and share alike and they to take as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants and to their several Heirs and Assigns forever.

And whereas STEPHEN GIBBON of Ringwould aforesaid Shopkeeper my Brother in Law stands possessed of part of my freehold Estates In Trust for me my Heirs and Assigns forever as and in and by a certain Deed Poll or Declaration of Trust under the Hand and Seal of the said STEPHEN GIBBON bearing date on or about the 31st Day of March which was in the year of Our Lord 1767 relation being thereunto had may appear Now I do hereby order and direct and my will and mind is that the said STEPHEN GIBBON and his Heirs shall and do as soon as conveniently may be after my decease convey and assure all such Freehold Estate of which he or they shall at my decease stand possessed In Trust for me and my Heirs as aforesaid unto my said Wife and Children in the manner and to and for the several Uses Intents and Purposes hereinbefore mentioned limited and declared of and concerning the same.

Also I give and bequeath my sixth part and all other my Right Title and Interest of and in to forty Shares in certain Lead Mines in Cornwall or elsewhere together with all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels Effects and Debts due and owing to me and Monies Securities for Money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what Kind or Nature soever the same may be, my Debts Funeral Charges and the Expenses of Proving and Executing of this my last Will and Testament being first paid and satisfied and every part and parcel thereof unto my said Wife JANE MATSON her Executors Administrators and Assigns to and for her and their own use and benefit.

And I make constitute and appoint my said Wife JANE MATSON full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
And lastly I do revoke all former Wills at me at anytime heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said ROBERT MATSON the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper affixed together to the first sheet thereof set my Hand and to this second and last sheet my Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written.
