In the name of God Amen the eleventh day of November Anno Domini 1624
I Bartholomew May of Norton in ye Countie of Kent yeoman, being in perfecte health & good memorie (thanks be to God) doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme following :
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of God my saviour & redeemer Jesus Christ & my bodie to be buried at the discretion of my Executor.

Item I give & bequeath unto my only sonn Thomas May of Norton yeoman my house & tenement called by the name of Bargayns-hills with all the land belonging ther unto.
Item I give & bequeath him my house in the Parrish of Baptchild with all the land beloning ther unto.
Item I give & bequeath him my house & tenement in the Parrish of Egerton & all my lands ther unto belonging unto ye sayd Thomas May my sonn & al my lands whersoever.

Item I give & bequeath unto my three grand-children Bartholomew May, Thomas May & Richard May tenn pound a peece to be payd them at ye age of eighteene yeres when they shal come to accomplish itt.

Lastly I will & appoynte my sonn Thomas May to be executor to this my last will & testament
In witnes hereof I have sett to my hand & seale
