In the name of God Amen the twentieth day of August Anno domini 1646,
I Thomas May of Rodmersham in the County of Kent, yeoman, being sicke in body but of sound & perfect memorie thankes be to God for ye same, doe make & ordaine this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge
First I commende my soule into ye handes of Almightie God, trusting by his mercie & merrittes of his sonne my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ to obtaine a free pardon for all my sinnes & consequently eternall life
My bodie I committ to ye earth from whence it came to be buried in ye parish Church of Rodmersham in ye said Countie
And concerninge such worldly Goods as it hath pleased god to blesse me with

First I give & bequeath to my sonne Bartholomew May the some of Fower hundred pounds of lawfull mony of England
Item I give & bequeath to my sonne Thomas May ye like some of fower hundred poundes of like lawfull monie of England

Item I give & bequeath to my said sonne Thomas all my corne yt is in my barnes in ye parish of Tenham now in my occupacon & the Corne yt is in ye howse now in ye occupacon of William Hearne

Item I give & bequeath to my sonne Richard May all ye rest of my corne whatsoever and wheresoever

All the rest of my goodes, chattells & debts, my owne debts & legacies being paid & funerall discharged, I give & bequeath to my said sonne Richard whome I make & ordaine my sole Executor of this my last will & testament

And concerning such landes & tenements as I have purchased since ye tyme yt I settled my estate
First I give & bequeath two acres of land lyeinge in afeild called Derton field in ye said parish of Tenham to my sonne Thomas May & his heires

Item I give and bequeath one howse & three acres of land there unto adioyneinge in ye occupacon of Salamon Dane in Tenham aforesaid and also one peece of Marsh land conteyninge nyne acres in occupacon of George Allen in Tenham aforesaid unto my sonne Richard May & his heires

And concerninge my landes & tenements in Egerton heretofore settled upon my sonne Thomas May, I now revooke the same & doe give the said landes & tenements to my said sonne Bartholomewe & his heires

In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale dated ye day & yeare above written
